Has the 1388 clause been replaced with HR 1444?

Yes, they took the study of the mandatory part of 1388, and made it a separate bill -1444.

I think they knew that there would be opposition.

My Mom called ALL of our state reps this morning and got her friends to, as well!
She was Angry!
I was just confused about the two.

She was even telling them it was their fault. Republicans AND Democrats!

Your mom is right. Both parties have sold out this country. Their masters are the crooked bankers, wall street brokers, and corporations, and they dutifully keep robbing from the American taxpayers to line the pockets of their masters. Think about it- we have a guy in office as President that had less than two years experience in the Senate, most of which was spent campaigning for "messiah", and the MSM gave him a free pass. We have maybe 5 or 6 members of the House that care about this country, and the rest of them are crooks. I don't think there is one person in the Senate that isn't crooked and in the pockets of the crooks either.
I worked over 45 years to save a small nest egg so my wife and I could at least enjoy and live in retirement, and in a few months, almost our entire retirement account is decimated.
This country is reaching the point of no return. Over 200 years of greatness, destroyed by some crooks in under a year.

i just hope this doesn't turn into some version of the hitler youth.

That is my concern. It's not that I think they would have them trained to kill Jews, or anything like that, but I believe that they may "train" them to believe that "their way", is the only way. That is bad enough. Teachers have a sacred oath, in my opinion, NOT to try to persuade students to their way of thinking. Instead, teachers should encourage students to think on their own, using tools that the teachers make them aware of. That is the way I always taught. I believe brainwashing is a distinct possibility with this program.

ProfEmeritus : I believe I understand your intensity better now.
Some of what has happened to you has happened to others also.
Myself included.
And though I don't agree 100% with everything you say, I do agree alot.

The problems with the POTUS have been a thorn in my side for the last
eight years. I am hoping this administration will get back to the basics of
taking care of the country and our people.
The sheer magnitude of the spending is almost overwhelming. ( Please, . .
another "large" bottle of the pink liquid ! Quickly !)
I agree that both democrats and republicans are responsible for our
situation.
I hope things change.
I just have alot more confidence in the intentions of Mr. Obama. I believe
he sincerely means well.

This IS similar to a hitler yuoth thing... lok up the 13th amandement.. yuo cannot force someone to serve if theyd ont want too. and thats coming form the constitution of tthe united states, the official paper that states the law of the land..it is time ot rebell.
