I live in the Hippy State, and Obama is our God. Telling people around here to not support the Federal Government would get me burned at the stake for Heresy.

Great find! I don't doubt that Texas and Arizona follow suite. The state guard has become an arm of the federal military. The states have the right to form militia, strictly for state service. I applaud New Hampshire,They deserve the respect due a house of patriots !!

Don't give me too much credit, Vittra posted it on the 14th on the end of the NH thread that was so big. I went to see if there was any updates and I thought this was big enough to have it's own thread.
Given the timeline we need to all do some emails and calls again to NH for support.

Make sure you flag this thread, don't worry about stars.

I sent an email to the Rep that is the Primary of this one.

Representative Daniel Itse,

I wanted to show you support for your bill 2009-H-0073-R
HB524. Thank you very much for being a level headed American
Patriot. I like NH's moxie lately, like other states to take back the
power from the Federal Govt.
I believe that have overstepped their bounds a long time ago, and
are trashing our Constitution. I know that I am not alone in this support.
There are a majority of americans that feel the same way.

Best Regards,

Moving to New Hampshire just wasnt enough. I have to move to the area Itse represents.

It's like he's all set to flip-off the fed and level any federales who cross the border to express their dismay.

I hope NH takes a load of that stimulus money and fortifies itself against a federal invasion.

Similar situation for me, can't say Obama's name in anything other than a positive tone/manner without getting chastised. That and most people know how I stand on the issue of our new president anyways.

Our founders told us that maintaining liberty and freedom was dependent upon the concern, knowledge, and participation of the citizens. In the discussions leading up to the signing of the Constitution, a common answer to predictions that things will happen (things like removing our gun rights, over taxation, over regulation...etc) was that the citizenry would never stand for it. Well an ignorant majority will evidently.
If you ask why we continue to elect people that get us into these messes the answer is: universal suffrage. We have to take a test to drive for Christ’s sake but we'll have some one pick you up from the institution to take you to vote.
Socialism isn't sustainable nor is pure democracy. Our federal republic died with Lincoln, and has been in a slow spiral ever since... this is the slippery slope that became cliched around the time Goldwater was trying to get people to see sense.
Bend over, my fellow citizens, grab both cheeks, and pull them apart... because it's coming.
The constitution is dead and the only recourse those of us who love and, more importantly, understand the concept of liberty and how it is impossible in an environment where a govt has its hands in everything, will be to revolt or renounce citizenship and attempt to start over somewhere else.
It wouldn't surprise me that in less than a decade we're all wearing outfits colored based on our occupation or some other identifier and waiting in line at the grocery store for bread and tp. You know like before the soviets stopped doing what we're starting to do and like the Chinese did when they were poor before they began adopting our old capitalist philosophy... Where you go to the store not knowing what's available until you get in and see the 3 items they have on the shelf.

Maybe since it's on the front page now.

It first came out on the 14th buried in another thread, so maybe they might notice.

I am kind of divided as too what the reaction would be with all the Hail Hitler folks now days. (yes Obamabots) lol

Does anyone remember the TV show (or mini-series maybe) the Second American Revolution?? It is getting scarier by the day remembering what I do of that show and what I see everyday on the news.

Could this just be a backdoor for martial law? By each state having their own "defense force" it would be possible to keep the national army on foreign soil, but still crack down on the people at home.

Texas already has a State Guard, seperate from the National Guard; four major subcommands.

TXSG

No overseas deployment, used primarily to augment and support locally as well as deploy during distaters etc.

Good group of people, I ran into a few after hurricane Ike..I didn't know they were a seperate entity until then.

So instead of federal troops imposing martial law, state troops will?

This is better??

Sounds like the governments plan to me.

Make them so scared that they put their own troops to patrol against ours.

It's like having your cake and eating it too.

Troops on streets are troops on streets.

That's interesting, but I don't see what the obligation is. Any idea what the commitment is without having to contact the recruiter?? I mean, are you able to opt out at anytime?
