you are quite the ignorant person. its people like you that shouldnt be allowed to vote in this country, let alone live in it. im all for free speech but when the speech is coming out of a completely ignorant, uneducated "thing", not person, then you should be sent to prison. i say let all the non violent criminals out so we can make way for the uncomprehensibly stupid and not let them out until they have learned something of value. contribute to society, dont spread your ridiculous, no basis hate. your making people dumber.

This is the dumbest post I've ever seen. I see lots of good ones, so I'm shocked something so stupid would be posted...

1st off, it was not invented by them.

2ndly, rap music wasn't negative until a good 5/10 years after its start.

3rd, stop and think. Is it possible to predict a trend? Not really. You cannot invent a new genre of music and have a target audience actually fall into it like this.

4, the majority of rap purchasers are non-blacks

5, the gangster culture/lifestyle existed far before rap music.

lastly, the freakin corporations control the music, and yes they do hold back the community but that doesn't mean the CIA is involved.

The Black Community has been devestated by Rap and the Rap life style. Look it up! People who listen to rap are more likely to commit a crime then people who listen to country. You never see a drive by happen because one person liked Toby Keith and the other liked Garth Brooks. You never see a shooting at a country concert because some one wore a red shirt and another a blue shirt or had their hat tipped the "wrong" way. Hell you never see shootings at country concerts period. Or rock and roll ones, or techno, or Weird Al, or pop, any thing. Rap concerts? It's not a party unless some one is stabbed or shot or beaten. And what about the music? Rock and roll does have drug refrences, like Cocaine, but it isn't like Rap where the lyrics are about killing some one for their drugs and rape their "baby momma" afterwards.

And what does this have to do with the CIA? They traffic drugs into the black community to keep them down. What other ways could they get to them? What could they do to make the black community more likely to do drugs? Invent rap music and the culture of if you don't act like a "gangsta" and do drugs you're not really black. Put up front men like 50Cent, a guy who's parents were dentists and make more money then he does, still, and claim he was a gangsta who had it hard in life. Then what music does he put out? "Shoot that mofo, rape that b.... curse word curse word shoot some one if they look at you wrong curse word!" Eminem? Guy was born and raised in Kansas City, what does the CIA do? Train him to lie about growing up in Detriot and act like a gangsta.

It makes sense. If they listened to country or rock or pop would they be out there killing each other for wearing the wrong color? Would they beat some one to death for liking the "wrong" artist? Would they waste their money on jewelry instead of schooling? If they hadn't been ingrained into believing that without the giant gold clock hanging from their neck and wearing their pants around their knees is what made them "black" would they do it? Would they shoot some one for stepping on their shoe if they hadn't been brainwashed into believing that was the proper response to that situation by rap?

I'm pretty sure you can't, but what can you put forward that proves the CIA's involvement in this 'brainwashing' scheme. If you keep saying that the CIA is behind it , its just your opinion.

Secondly, given your argument, your basically contradicting yourself by using a name like 'Afrosamurai'. I recently watched the movie, and as much as I like s. jackson, didnt much like the theme of the movie. I mean, hell, the movie was about this black samurai who killed people just to get that ribbon or what not. And here you are arguing about gangsters and thugs fighting over petty arguments. Good job a'hole.

If anything, the NWO and MSM are the ones to blame - there the ones doing all the advertising for what they want us to do in there 'perfect world'.

damn like.. thats kinda messed up, im not black and i feel a lil offended... Im a musician I love rap/Hip hop... but to post somethin like that..is crazy..
...
Its like me saying " Country singers are former KKK Clans member who retired and didn't have nothing to do, so they chopped down a tree in there back yard and carved out a guitar and start singing gay love songs about there wives, and the sons of the country singers born into this generation made pop music which makes them gay"

Sounds absurd right????

Somebody posted earlier talkin about the Music is a way of expression..
. yes.. its like a mirror reflecting back to the world that artist experiences in life growing up..

PS. Not all rappers talk about killing....
For u to post something like this up is boring~.. CIA invented rap.. Lmao When was the last time u heard a CIA member spit 16 barz?

it is ultimately the individual who decides his or her fate. not tv, music, or video games. saying hip hop destroys communites is like saying that the internet was invented by the illuminati to destroy the family unit under a tidal wave of porn and world of warcraft. just about anything can be taken too far. people need to realize that humans love trends, and the current trend is hip hop culture, eventualy it will fall to yet another trend, but like past trends the good stuff will always be around and continue to be made.
i dont care if im 80 ill still pop in tech nine, or lil whyte, or even some king gordy. sorry just cant see the CIA comming up with an idea involving creativity.

from a eastern european perspective i can't be objective but it looks suspicious that only rap has subgenre gangsta.

on one side you may look at it as only a style in music developed naturally
or a little more paranoid view as op states like CIA invented it...

IF it was CIA's fault i could understand reasons - black community identifies itself with rap, you make more gangsta black people, you make white people stereotype thinking black people are gangsters, young black people wanting to be 50 cent not Bill Gates. it's lot easier to control gangsta crowd then scientists.
paranoid but if they could kill Kennedy...

i think that every genre gloryfying that kind of crap containing drugs, murder , rape blah, blah should be banned.
but... they are banning smoking, so i'm like mass murderer
but 50 cent and other gangsta crap is OK.
don't smoke but be like him. wear 50k gold chain and a gun.

smells like CIA

To the original poster. Your post is complete bull#. And for the record, rap is not the only genre of music that creates violence at concerts. Truthfully, there really isnt that much violence at concerts any way, your views are off by a million.
Now i must agree, rap music nowadays on tv caters to violence more than not. But it takes more than just music to make someone want to commit a crime. The problem runs deeper than just listeingin or visual expierences.

This is honestly so rediculous i dont know why it is still up on this site.

This rap is very relevant to you ATS'ers

btw when I was younger I used to love to rap. Did it as a hobby. I just grew up listening to it so it was imprinted. I'm 100% pacifist and most rappers understand its an art just like dance-fighting in musical theater.

You may be right about that. Historians are recognizing him as a Melungeon. For those of you who don;t know who they are, they are the "Lost Tribe" of the Appalachias whose ancestry is now being traced back to India, the Middle East and the Mediterranean.
A lot of them look dark like Abe, like gypsies or even black. The rest of use look white.
Most have British names but definitely do not look English, again like Abe.
A lot of Melungeons also intermarried with free slaves and Indians, so Abe may well have been the first truly representative prez.

This thread couldnt be more wrong.

The term rapper is derived from the ancient latin word raphor (spelling is probably entire wrong, perhaps someone could help me out :] ) Raphors were people who would speak poetry in public as a form of entertainment.

So you have it entirely wrong, the ancient Roman Empire invented rap to eliminate the black community

Ok, let's deny ignorance and put some facts in this, erm, thread.

The first rap hit single was "Rapture," by Blondie, in 1981, from their first album, AutoAmerican. Also the first hit rap video.

That's right, Deborah Harry--a white, peroxided blonde woman.

Naw. She wasnt the first rapper. Lol. Not even close. The Sugarhill Gang had hip hop/rap on the charts before she did, and the trend was already well under way off the charts.

"Rapper's Delight"

"Rapper's Delight" was a #36 hit on the US pop chart and a #4 hit on the US R&B chart in 1979. Many claim that "Rapper's Delight" is the first hip hop single ever, however others argue that it was actually preceded by "King Tim III (Personality Jock)" by the Fatback Band which at the time was considered to be under the funk genre. The Sugarhill Gang's place in music history seems secure as the first hip hop group to have a gold single.

But all that said, blaming the effect of Gansta Rap on the CIA is ridiculous.

If there is blame to be had, it falls squarely on the black community. Caucasians have their "destructive" music trends too. (Death metal, whatever the heck the Skinheads were listening too, etc.) The difference is that the MAJORITY of the black community embraced it. Not just some kids. And perhaps so as not to appear racist, too many non-black people toned down their criticism of it as well. Where you dont see broad sections of the white Americans, or Asian Americans, or other groups jumping on their kids angst filled trends and acting like the teen age angst speaks for the whole culture. I know my Portuguese-Hawaiian foster mother made no apology for the fact that certain music just wasnt allowed in our house. Period. You dont like it, tough crap. If it sounded like it was negative at all, be it metal or rap, or whatever, she didnt allow it. (The happy beats of reggae she never minded, lol, even if some of the lyrics did call for revolution and lots of pakalolo)

But for whatever reason, in the black community, gangsta rap was treated like any other kind of music by too many of the elders. Hardly anyone wanted to criticize it. Even Oprah looked uncomfortable, (as if she was betraying her own kind) by suggesting that the lyrics demeaned women and that they shouldnt use the N-word. I remember that a large swath of the black community wanted to lynch Bill Cosby for saying that people needed to speak better English and act like they cared about themselves if they wanted to get anywhere. He was viewed as a race traitor.

Face it, if gangsta rap is a problem, there is no one to blame but the extreme tolerance shown for it by the black community.

Lol, I agree that rap does influence people into doing violent things. Especially compared to some Toby Keith but the CIA? They had rap back in the 70s but it wasn't socially acceptable at the time to play on the radio.
