i think the UFOs passed behind the teather because you see the UFO, its visible, go under the teather, where it is partially covered by the teather, then reappears on the other side. watch this video

www.youtube.com...

you clearly see many objects go behind the teather. specifically at the very beginning, and at :30 of the video. i am no scientist, but it clearly shows the object behind the 12 mile teather! i am not saying every object there is a ufo, but a few i believe are.

Can you show an example from STS-75 bunch of lights crossing the scene, so one example of an object which is NOT an UFO?
And second question, if there are objects not beeing an UFO, what are they?

Well all I can say is.............NASA wants to employ someone to clean those camera lenses better if that's what's casuing the effects we are seeing.

It looks like some people think that what causes the out of focus effect on small bright objects it's some lens fault or dirt on the lens.

It is not, all lens have that effect, we can see it only with out of focus bright objects because of the way light passes through the lens, but every lens, even the most carefully made, have this problem.

Another thing I remembered, the fact that some objects are in focus on the background and other objects are out of focus in the foreground does not mean that the foreground objects are very close to the camera, that depends on the lens characteristics (I think it's related to the f number, but I can never remember that, my sister is the photography expert, I only know some of the theory, not all.

The lens f-number is a measurement of the size of the aperture. As the number increased the size of the aperture decreases. The smaller the aperture the greater the depth of field. The limits of depth of field are limited by the lens and the diffraction limit of the camera (the greatest lens f-number that can be used before diffraction begins blurring things). Each lens has a closest focusing point, but often the lens scales are off slightly and can't be relied upon entirely. But any objects closer to than the minimum focussing distance are usually out of focus. Macro lens/specialist lens (and often general purpose lenses in digital compacts) can focus very close.

There's a depth of field calculator (there's probably ones for digital sensors elswhere) here:

www.johnhendry.com...

You can also see the effect of changing the f-number here:

OK, thanks.

Now, another thing, if I may ask, is it true (or am I mixing things) that pin-hole camera takes photos with everything on focus?

IIRC (this is from memory - usual disclaimers apply) I believe it's sort-of the case, but nothing will appear that sharp because the image is made from overlapping unfocused image circles from all points of the image. The situation can be improved by reducing the size of the hole or the distance from the film surface to the hole (reducing the size of the circles). I'd have to do some more checking to feel confident of all that though, it's a long time since I've looked (back when I read Ansel Adams' first book).

A pin hole may produce acceptable images, but it is blurred, because all the points in the reality making objects are translated in the image as circles (not points) with the same size as the pin hole (or more, when actual points are very closer to the pin-hole.

A good movie tutorial about depth-of-field or out of focus effects and factors influencing it (posted before but nobody saw it) is this:

i believe the large v-cut crafts are ufos - the fast moving almost like meteors, are well, meteors, space debris, whatever you want to call it.

Ok, it sounds plausible. Let's continue the analysis, to the details, to try to understand more, because actually the integer is made from little details.

So, you said that if it is moving fast and straight and it is small in the image (point), it can be meteors or debris. Anyway i may assume that UFO's can be small enough (or far), and beeing faster, so we cannot really say that it is a UFO or a meteor/debris

But why beeing meteors? because of trail? I think unless in higher layers of the Earth atmosphere (about 60 km if i remember), meteors can't make trails. Anyway, beeing meteors, we logical can assume that they are far away, at least miles away.

question 1) If those small fast points are debris, can you give an idea about the distance and size to that debris? (if it can be something like milimeter in size and very close, or maybe centimeters in size and a few hundred meters /a couple of miles away, or maybe meters in size and tens or hundreds of miles away or something like that). Just a very roughly idea.

Regarding disc with notches, actual UFO's, i have two questions if you or anybody can answer:

question 2) Do you think that the notches are details of alien spacecrafts or not? I mean, the alien spacecrafts are discs with notches or not?

question 3) what are the reasons, explained in a few words, that the disks are BEHIND THE TETHER.

Why do we have to justify anything to someone so closed minded and robotic in response?

Seriously you write like a bot. Why are people on this thread even responding to you?

They are UFOs...

I think i want to understand why are they UFO's. I want answers. Myself was flooded with questions when i made some claims, and i tried to explain my arguments ON TOPIC.

Do you think i'm robotic? They are UFO's They are UFO's They are UFO's ... Who is robotic?

Anyway, if you don't want to answer to questions, then ignore the thread. I don't think the thread is just for words statements like "it is clearly an UFO = alien craft".

I think i am not closed minded, not more than you at least, but i want to understand the other arguments (if they are). If you are on this topic to sustain the UFO solution, then sustain it with arguments down to the little details. My questions ARE NOT OFF TOPPIC. If you are light years away in understanding UFO's then you really will have no problem answering to simple questions.

Yeash but who makes you the authority here we have to answer to?

And I can't ignore you ... you are too persistent in the threads I like to read.

It's buggin' me out here dude... how bout some respect for others that may want to contribute, but then get their head stomped on with a boot. Just sit back and relax a bit dude.

Sorry for the off topic everyone else

I'm a fellow ATS poster, remember?

Anyway, if i happened to ask you about UFO's, to show me another UFO's, to speak me about all your beliefs, i think you wouldn't invite me to relax and go away.

If you can answer, and wish to do, at the questions raised, it's ok, answer. If not, it's ok, don't answer.

Anybody can read my last posts, and can see that the questions are on topic, about details. I'm not closed minded if i ask more information about details.

hey there - i'll try to answer your questions as best as i can. mind you im not sure of the distance from camera to teather - so here we go

1.to the "meteors" behind the teather, its so hard to judge because, im not sure the exact size of them, and the distance they are behind the teather. they could be half the size of earth, just way below, and of course looking smaller.
2. yes, i do believe, thru studies of my own, they are space craft, more along the lines of light craft, merkabahs (sp)
. It could also be the notches are windows or viewing areas of some sort.
3.i've stated before why i believe they are behind the teather, because the teather partially covers the UFO as it passes underneath. i dont know how to explain that any better. look at my post on the very top of the page with the youtube vid on it. go to that link and look if you havent.

thanks my friend, i hope i can answer more for you, and i'll try to find out exactly how far the teather is from the camera, and how fast they are moving away from each other.

my theory also on these UFOs is they are guardians of space in some way, they see a huge 12 mile long object coming at them, or just nearby, and they simply come to investigate. I also dont believe the high tech cameras NASA is using, would really be flimsy enough to produce blurreed shots, when there are clearly notches out of the UFO's and pulsating. thanks for the intereting thread once again. im now going to watch all of the videos i can.
getting reallly excited to hope i can answer you the best way possible. * i edited to add in a few more sentences and fix a couple spelling errors.
