All of you who keep blasting President Obama, he has already done more in the last 2 days to give us back our constitution, yet you won't acknowledge that.

We have been spied on...I know my phones have been tapped, in fact right after the 2004 election, I was part of a group trying to expose the fraud that happened in Ohio. Almost everyone who called me said, "it sounds like your phones are tapped". So, I already know I was a target for tapping at that time.

We did live under a dictator type rule over the last 8 years, now our new President Obama, will hopefully give us back our civil rights - which we had lost.

The wiretapping, was not about "terrorist" it was about listening to anyone's phone calls, that Bush and Cheney felt like listening to, from political foes - to keeping tabs on the media.

I'm sure almost every journalist that could possibly break a story was spied on and had constant surveillance surrounding them 24/7.

This is the way you can truly controll the media... or know ahead of time what information is going to be presented to the public...

Makes you wonder about Daniel Pearl... maybe he found something juicy... that could expose a conspiracy... He probally talked about his little discovery on the phone, and later on he became the story instead... (just a possible theory)

I was wondering how long it was going to take for this to start hitting the fan. Ya the nsa and dia both have a problem keeping tabs on the wrong people who arnt doing anything wrong. There are 15 intelligence agencies in the united states and hardly anyone knows whos doing what on what day that's what happened on 9-11 more then anything everyone knew it was coming no one did anything about it.

Its the full scope of this program that when it hits people are going to be pretty blown away. I know people in R@D wanted all SSN numbers at one point to make them part of a super system and then shut down agencies like the Social Security Adminstration. Birth records and such also many people in the DIA and NSA both wanted a central core network so they could find out about anyone at anytime.

They both have more then enough ablities to collect intelligence on someone most of the time both groups are either greedy or they always want a little more and a little more exc exc. Nano tech especially for that matter when it comes to sophisticated spy devices the DIA and NSA both dont need Audio Intersept intelligence anymore given what they have stolden from people like me and they know it.

Remember the Enron tapes thats a good example of someone knowing about someone taking place keeping tabs on the event as it unfolded or was taking place and no one did anything about it because of the level of corruption in both agencies and congress. I have also seen on the admistrative level of many agencies and groups large coverups but what can you do but make the information public and risk both the loss of your job and get politically targeted.

There's so much evidence of that in the past adminstration's we dont even need to discuss it here. When you bust a drug dealer dealing millions of dollars of coc aine if the drug dealer get's away he or she is going to spend millions of dollars hunting you down for either knowing to much or busting there ongoing opperation.

The same for gov and gov knows it I know for a fact gov went out of its way when I was still on the air as a reporter to pay off and spook my guest's before coming on the air, not to mention the fact large amounts of loss of time for signal interfearance because the show when it was still on the air attracted too much attention.

Thats one of the reasons people in covert opps dont give anything to abc/cbs/nbc/cnn/fox unless its to water down or coverup something that got out that a agency or group didnt want out aka the abugrab pictures in 2004, Chiquta Bannana company dealing cocain and willing to testify to the U.S. Justice Department only to not have DOJ contact them back to my knowledge. Things like this take place all the time.

But the level of this program is not something the NSA or DIA wants to ever make public I dont think they have much of a choice now though there are too many people stepping forward these days from all agecies that are tired of the bush / clintion fiasco.

Alot of people in the dia and nsa dont like bush and clinton although they dont state it publicly most of the time unless someones stepping forward with something like this program.

I can only hope as millions of others also hope, Bush and his adminstration will pay for all they did that was in direct conflict with the U.S. laws and International laws.

What makes you think that the President even had direct knowledge of NSA Program Details to begin with? The President is not a KNOW ALL individual, as NO ONE is such within the United States Government. This is called Compartmentalization, and it is how Secrets are kept. The President is given briefings on Select Issues, Activities, and Programs, but for the most part, Details are suppressed.

All that President Bush had to do was give the NSA Director an ultimatum towards intercepting Terrorist Related Data Transmissions, and the Director would allocate the issue towards a Panel of relevant Personnel for discussion. As the Relevant Personnel begin formulating Plans for Implementing the Directors Orders, and once the Process is Approved for Review, and if it becomes Accepted, it then becomes an Active Program. Once the Program becomes Active, the Multiple Facets of it are trickled down into any number of Various Departments, each of which runs their own Section of the Program, without ANY Knowledge whatsoever of the other Departments Activities in regards to such.

So yes, President Bush may have known about a Massive Dragnet Intercept, which should be no surprise to anyone here, since the MSM reported on such over a Year Ago. This does not however illicit damnation of the President for every last disagreeable issue you and others have with the NSA, and other Intelligence Agencies. You cannot blame the Employees either, for they are simply doing their jobs. I also fail to see how you can even blame the Agencies in their Entirety either, as they have prevented numerous Terrorist Attempts on America since 9/11; so essentially, whatever they have been doing in defense of this Nation has worked, has it not? Has the NSA ever used these Intercepts in Non-National Security Related Prosecutions? No. Has the NSA ever knocked on your door because you cussed out the Delivery Restaurant? No.

So seriously, give them all a break. These are NOT your local LEO, they do not care what you talk about on an Average basis. The NSA has enough to worry about, the last thing that concerns them is your Private Telephone Conversation about how you and some of your buddies went and got wasted the other night

There is much, much more to come soon enough. Freedom of Information Act and true Patriots of whom had been compromised while on duty will see to this. The NSA was founded and is operated by the International bankster cartel NWO folk whom use the information they gather to advance their cause for a NWO by 'their' design.

Rogue agents withing the CIA, FBI, DoD, Dept. of Homeless Security, ATF, Secret Service, DIA and others are to be carefully examined as well. When one has Billions at their discretion, the world and it's influence is most often purchased or influenced in one way or the other. Mankind is weak when money or threats are involved in the equation. Hence, separation of powers, checks and balances are a must in ANY society for one or an oligopoly can not be trusted with absolute authority. The finite experience of mankind is far too short to attain the wisdom and experience necessary to rule the masses. Examples in history repeat time and again.

The so-called sheeple are led to destruction to the will of the Tyrants for whom have lived their meaningless lives chasing power, wealth and self gratification for an End that leads to self destruction and chaos. This is a false confidence statement. Some, if not all, people are being analyzed (as much as can be assessed about them including their ancestry) by a larger and more comprehensive 'quantum surveillance' system which presumably uses the NSA system as a resource for its overarching plan. As the group controlling this system is morally corrupt, it is not qualified to handle such information on the global population. It has used this system to surreptitiously abuse, torture and murder its targets; it continues these actions without remorse.

Well bowl me over with a feather! I do have to say I knew this all along. Never suspected it, knew it. (Just look at my avatar's location; I've had that since I registered on ATS.)

Bushco believed it was above the law--we all knew this. "Goddamned piece of paper," "I'm the decider;" "It'd be easier if this was a dictatorship--as long as I'm the dictator"... And on and on and on.

I doubt this will seriously reign the NSA and all the rest of the evil alphabetistas in. They will continue, less flagrantly, to do whatever they want. They listen to every electronic communication in the world they feel like, when they feel like it. And that has been going on far too long, and whistleblowing won't change that.
