Not good, guns belong in our everyday life, but first they will say with this security force there is no need for guns, so we turn them in(perhaps for food or oil) then its fourth reich baby.

Thesse Nazi's don't care what color your skin is, they just want us to care so we are confused.

It really is a shame. This thread is just more proof that people put trust and confidence in others based solely on what they look like; in this case, the color of his skin. I am not racist in any way, but I can sure as hell see Obama's words and actions do not match up. He'll bring change alright, but it won't be the good kind. Based on the people he is associated with and the people he has appointed to his cabinet, he isn't changing squat for the better. He appears to be just like all the rest.

Why must the black card be played here? It has nothing to do with anything unless you're black. Why's it always like this? People say that OJ was guilty and should be in jail for murder and black people cry racism. People call Barry Bonds a cheater and black people cry racism. FFS, you people who want racism gone are the ones bringing it up all the time. I'm not saying there aren't racists still around, but you create it where there is none just so you can complain about it. Knock it off, will you? Act like you have some sense. You will support someone just because of their skin color and ignore everything else.

I don't know if Obama is planning the fourth reich, but what he has shown so far is not good. There is too much surrounding him that is either shady, uncertain or just like the rest and that does not look good.

I can't help but laugh when Yoda demands factual evidence from someone considering you have proven in other threads that you have no idea what that is. You wouldn't know factual evidence if it smacked you in the face, Yoda. You don't need facts to support something, yet you demand it from others. Hypocritical much?

Why is the Federal Reserve a bad thing? Is it because its a private bank that issues our currency and loan it to the government with interest so that the American people ALWAYS HAVE DEBT? Is the Federal Reserve the same as the "First Bank of the United States," and the "Second Bank of the United States?" Oh yes, they are all on and the same.

Did you know that during the Civil War Congress gained the ability to print America's currency for the people debt free? Its true, that currency was called the "Greenback" because it was green on one side of it to distinguish it from other tender notes in circulation at that time.

Why did Abraham Lincoln pi$$ off International Bankers by giving Congress the power to print legal tender debt free to the American citizen? That is an important question.

If Congress had the ability to print legal tender, then why was the "Federal Reserve" a private Bank, given the permission to print our currency instead? Which is then loaned to the Government with interest? Study history....

Obama works for the Federal Reserve, that's why he favors the bailouts getting passed out.

Obama as always so neatly tucks in "just as well funded" at the very end under his breath as the people are cheering about something else he said. NLP mastery at its finest. I can't imagine the reaction if he started off "I have an idea for a new government department just as well funded as our military." Boos... followed by more boos.

Obama flicked off both is opponents and wasn't laughed out of the campaign... instead he was voted in.

The US had a standing militia for a time. Switzerland has/had a standing militia, every man of fighting age required to have and maintain a weapon and subject to call at any threat.
People get hurt all the time, usually thru' their own stupidity. A civilian militia makes sense. It would make us stronger. What nation is going to attack a country full of armed civilians? What I fear are those who are trying to disarm Americans, outlaw guns. That is dangerous and people will surely be hurt.

All the malice against each other aside.

To me this is unacceptable. This does not sound like a civilian militia, it sounds like a government funded security force. The youth of the nation are all forced to rally behind the government and its policy by essentially being drafted into a civil defense force.

First - According to what Rahm said you will have to serve if you fall under a certain age group. That is not freedom. If someone tries to force me into any organization that i do not believe in, i will simply not do it. I don't care what the punishment is because I am willing to die for my personal freedom.

Second - The instance that i know of a civilian youth defense force was the nazi youth. We all know where that ended up.

Third - By instituting a force like this, you can indoctrinate the disaffected youth. You will have even more loyal observers reflecting on that time they turned in their friends mom for some petty offense.

Fourth - If we weren't out in the world pissing everyone off one military action at a time, we probably would have fewer people that want us all to die. With all respect due, if foreign invaders were here committing the atrocities that our troops are then i might just feel the same way. Guess what, we wouldn't need every one between the ages of 18-25 to "do jumping jacks," "serve time in a barracks," or do anything but live our lives.

I am sorry to all who disagree with me, but maybe you can join the civil defense force and come lock me up for being a dissident.

Thanks for posting the video! I really wish they didn't have to insert into the end, as these conservative videos always do, a political propaganda statement of the Republican party as if they are any better historically than the Democratic party. The two party rule of this country defies all democratic election principles, but let's not get into that.

I must say I totally disagree with this proposal. I don't think it's third reich - but definitely draft oriented. They think we are all fat and lazy so they want to beef us up in preparation for the worst (the draft).

This type of civilian training reminds me a lot of how they do it in the country of China. With our national debt owed mostly to China, and the $500billion+ debt that we owe to them which could have been paid off with our $800billion bailout, maybe there is an impending conflict well concealed from the public eye.

I also must admit I do not see this proposal passing through both the House and the Senate. As much as we claim they are all in on it, there are still some intelligent insiders with a very concrete opinion of their own whom believe in the constitution and civil liberty.

I do agree that the video is a tad one sided, and completely agree with the two party statement, but will not get into that either.

I wouldn't necessarily say Third Reich either, but imagine if our government had the power of a force of this magnitude, that is fully authorized to operate in our neighborhoods. Most can agree that the government and most politicians are corrupt. Now put that in their hands. There is no telling the harm that could be done. Plus indoctrinating the youth into submissive service is also quite disturbing to me.

Unfortunately I could see something like this passing through congress given some of the other things that slipped right through. There are so many asanine laws on the books that destroy civil liberties. I often ask myself, "How did that pass with no one knowing?"

I think if done, it will be done like many of the other several phase laws that will not gain notoriety until it is too late. I could see the news, "Federal law mandates that students must do community service through high school." Where in the full text of the law it allows for the implementation of this proposed force.

Look at the real ID act. It passed years back and eventually ends with a mandatory Electronic Federal ID for all people in the US. It starts with a bar code on the back of a state ID. Most people have no idea why their ID now has a bar code. This is a loose example but you could definitely implement a seemingly harmless law that in all actuality would eventually allow for the mobilization of such a force whenever it is deemed necessary, and only the watchful would know until it is too late.

It scares me that it is even brought up for discussion and reminds me of the youth league from Orwell's "1984."

Attention All Obama Supporters! Attention!

Sadly this is a trend we are going to see for the next 4-8 years. People don't understand what real "socialism" is. They think that it's a screw job, and the want to do anything they can to stop any kind of forward progress that would occur within the Pillars of American Governance.

Let us just ignore the problem, and eventually it will have to go away. We are not losing anything by these folks whining. When we do get Universal Health Care, Proper Medical Leave for expecting and new mothers, and continue to have our right to bear arms, and drink straight Bourbon until our eyes bulge out; then we can simply request that they deny themselves said privileges.

After all, those who don't support the movement don't deserve the fruits of the movements successes...
