Well, April 1, 2004, is a day I will never forget here on ATS. For a while, I thought there was a crackdown on my posts with the words Illuminati in them.

It was fun nonetheless.

April Fools 2003 was a complex prank, with about two weeks of set-up. The site became part of a "Homeland Security Internet Monitoring" effort, complete with official logos and our own DHS representative... after "refugees" from other boards the DHS "shut down" showed up. Many members are still hurting over that one.
