Ok , I don't know if anyone has posted this before but I'm finding quite a difficulty in finding a thread that is COMPLETELY dedicated to praising Obama.

The rule is simple: If you want to post here, then say something nice about the guy for ONCE.

It seems like every thread I enter is about bashing Obama for being a socialist or a communist or a terrorist or a ridiculous pentagram at the back of his head and so on..

Please, if you're going to post here.. Just say something positive about him.

Attention: For Obama fans only
if anyone posts anything negative about him here, then I urge the Mods to deem it off-topic in that case.

Thank you

The Major holds President-Elect Obama in the highest esteem and couldn't praise him more. Who but Obama could dupe more than 50% of the electorate? Bill Clinton couldn't, but the smooth shyster Obama could.

Nothing is more praise worthy of the criminal enterprise that was the Obama fund raising machine. With Mafioso precision they accepted illegal contributions from foreign nationals, fictitious individuals and those that had reached their maximum contributions. For style points they managed to do all this without even a hint of investigation by the FEC much less any sanctions.

President-Elect Obama has already showed his hand, or should the Major say iron fist sans velvet glove. The impending legislation and fiats that will enslave this country regarding every aspect of daily life; speech, the right to bear arms, financial freedoms and personal wealth. The Major would dare say that the only acceptable civilian actions in four years will be a late term abortion, and defecating on a crucifix.

Yes, the Major lauds and praises the "Chosen One." He has pulled more wool over more eyes, conned more con men, and has out shilled the shills; allowing him to rise to high office via high crimes and misdemeanors.

The Major thus concludes his fanboi adulation of the Messiah.

Dismissed.

And you're actually making all these negative claims without any apparent evidence?

Sir you have proven my claim that there aren't any damn threads on ATS dedicated to giving this man the credit he deserves and only ones dedicated completely to bashing him.

And you(the basher) are the only one to reply.. shows how much people in America love their new president eh?

Ahh yes, Praise be to Obama, A man so incitefull and daring. A man who single handedly proved that one man, with the machinery of all of Chicago's finest, can controll an election to such a point that masses of people deny truth and vote with their wellfare checks in hand. Who are willing to allow their children to be subjugated into another 'Hitler Youth' organization to mold their mushminds into perfect Socialists. Yes..Praise be to Obama, A man of our times and a man that will live in infamy!!!

I am a supporter of Obama. The only thing I can praise is his even handidness, frankness, and hopefully embracing of the media. Because as we saw with President Bush, when the markets began to crash, he came out 4 days later came on to stage and gave a speach for what 4... 5 minutes? Hardly inspiring confidence, then when his great law had been passed down from the oh mighty secretary of treasury it was 2 and one half pages, calling for CRAZY open powers, thats the best they could come up with in two weeks?

Hopefully he'll hold press conferences like FDR.

FDR's idea worked. It worked for 998 news conferences during the course of little over twelve years in office.

And hold 'fireside' chats as well, I myself have no idea where you can pick up the presidential radio addresses on saturday, and I listen to A LOT of radio.

I can praise Obama, for taking approaches that are reminiscent of FDR and JFK. Because good ideas work, no matter how old.

Obama is president. Awesome. We finally have a black president. Hey, at least now the masses of african americans can't pull the race card and say the govt is oppressing them because of their skin color.

I feel like a great victory has been achieved by having this man as our president. And all the naysayers can get red in the face and mad all they want, but who cares? He's president now and there's not a damn thing you can do to change it.

The way I see it, anyone is better than George W. Bush. He's outta there. And thank GOD! I feel like it's 1776 and we've won our freedom back all over again.

The guy hasn't even reached office yet, and people have already begun to criticize him to the extreme.

I don't know if this thread is only attracting sore McCain supporters or simply conservative people. But this thread isn't about politics. The only reason I opened this thread was to gather any positive opinions about the guy.

Typical that the only responses gathered here were from a few disgruntled gentlemen making harsh claims without any substance or proof for that matter.

Is it not strange that barely anyone can honestly say anything nice about the guy whatsoever without getting bashed or ridiculed, even though this is supposed to be dedicated to celebrating his coming presidency or his rare personal qualities.

A shame really, that people would rather drive this man(Obama) to the ground even though all of America's current problems can be attributed to the current numbskull of a president Mr. George W. Bush. Yet I almost never see anyone around here bash that idiot and rightfully so if that was the case.

You guys are criticizing Obama over his first press conference(s) when he's already behaving more as a president than the current one.

Makes me sick really

EDIT TO ADD: SORRY, THERE IS ACTUALLY ONE PERSON HERE WHO HAS "HALF-PRAISED OBAMA". SIGH

Are you really that insecure in your choice you need a dedicated thread to kiss Obama's posterior? OK. Here's one.

I highly respect Barry, in the tradition of P.T. Barnum, to prove without a doubt that "There's a sucker born every minute".

Was that good enough for you?

I supported Obama in this election and I think he will make a much better president than our other option would have.

However, OP, by creating this thread you are basically asking all of the ignoramuses around here to come and chime in why they think Obama is a fraud. Every thread about Obama is going to be dominated by baseless claims and general foolishness for the next 4-8 years because some people are never going to get over the fact that he won.

A question for the previous posters: are the people who voted for Bush, who allowed a terrorist act to occur on our soil and then used it as an excuse to invade a country that wasn't even involved and release the patriot act (the biggest degradation of human rights in America since slavery) any more enlightened then the "suckers" who voted for Obama? Is he really any more of a "shyster" than Bush Jr., or any of our other elected officials for that matter?

How can someone praise Obama when he isn't in office yet. Yesterday was a great first step, but just that a step. We don't know any detail of what he wants to push through yet.

I'm afraid what you say is true. If we want to talk positively about Obama (which I do), we either have to ignore the ignoramuses (ignorami?) or come up with a clever, intelligent response.

Plenty of people have criticisms of him when he isn't in office yet... Why shouldn't his supporters voice their opinions, too?

Majorion - Ignore the bashers. They are 10% of the world! Obama won the election (Yay!!!) and he won the election here on ATS. The bashers are CLEARLY in the minority here, in the country and in the world! They just have big mouths.
Don't let them spoil our fun!

One thing I want to say about Obama is that he's no pussy cat. He is all calm and cool, but I wouldn't want to be the person who crossed him.

I'll bet Pelosi will be wrapped around his long, elegant, gorgeous pinky. People talk about him being overrun by Pelosi and Reid... Ha! I can't WAIT! He's going to have them doing whatever he wants!

I thought you might like to read this article from Jan 2007. It's really good:

Obama Rolls the Dice

His personality is captivating. And, furthermore, the man is obviously intelligent. All in all, he seems to be a smart, politically astute, charismatic, and thoroughly decent fellow.

Juxtapose this with his incredible good fortune these last few years, and one cannot but wonder if he is a man of destiny. And if he has decided that his destiny is to be the 44th President, who are we to question him?
...
What Obama seems to offer is a respite from pettiness as a necessary prelude for policy breakthroughs. Seen in the context of his legislative record, his offer to the public is not a substantive transcendence of partisan politics. It is, rather, a spiritual transcendence from small-minded partisan sentimentality. He does not necessarily view the world differently from the most senior, or most liberal, members of his caucus. Rather, he has a personal orientation to the other side that is more congenial - that recognizes that their point of view, even if it might be wrong, is nevertheless valid and honest. He intends to change the tone.

Praise on!

Ok, I would like to make something crystal clear...

I am not an American supporter, or voter or whatever..I don't even live in America. Nor is this thread dedicated to the politics being discussed here.

This thread was opened because I was asking a Mod where to find a thread that actually said something nice about Obama.. and he told me that he couldn't find anything(what a surprise), therefore he suggested I open one myself.

This thread is dedicated to those who like Obama as a person as opposed the politician that he is.

No one can deny that he is a great man, something is special about this guy.. if almost no one can see that then I'm sorry for wasting your precious collective reading time. If you want to bash him politically or otherwise then please refer to the hundreds if not thousands of threads dedicated to such discussion and bashing.

Thank you

I'm very sorry to say this but you are very misled/easily influenced by the media. Maybe stop watching TV for a while?

I voted for Obama in the primaries before I was 'brainwashed' to think he would win, and he won, I support him, I give him 4 years and probably 4 more, he got rid of the made in china items in the whitehouse giftshop, he is the perfect man for the job to deal with peace talks among Muslims worldwide.

And this is the major who used to carry the bucket for our last president!

Yes and considering this fact we must assume the man has the upmost character.
Hell, if you voted for GWB you must be a good judge in character!

Maybe one day BARACK H can rise to the level of high crimes as our previous king.

At least I applaud BHO for coaxing out all the bigots and BUSH apologists!

Judgement dismissed!

I think a lot of supporters are likely to remain silent due to the majority opinion being negative, yes?

Me, I'm neutral, just noticed something of a trend. ^^
