Is this for real? What does this say about the Pope?

Doesnt the Koran go against everything in the Catholic faith? Why is he showing love for something that refutes the Catholic religion?

Your ignorance overwhelms me.

To the original question:

The Pope has also kissed the Temple Wall in Jerusalem.

Why won't you post that?

I think it's showing respect for others beliefs, that's the way I take it anyway.

I'd rather he kiss my arse though. Religion is the ruiner of man.

That's a very good point, unfortunately I don't think it fits any kind of agenda.

Don't be so quick to castrate. Its just an observation that I thought deserved attention. Please post what you have regarding the Pope kissing the Temple Wall. Please dont be so angry.

I'd hazard a guess and say the Pope is respecting the Koran and Islam.

I think since Vatican II the Church has recognized the validity of other religions.
If Catholics, Muslims and others actually practiced their faith, and respected each other, the world would be a better place, and we wouldn't be worried about terrorism because it would not exist.

I think Karl Marx said it better:
Religion is the opiate of the people!

Is a mark of respect.

Rather like wiping your feet when getting into someone elses home.

I found an interesting link:

Why did the Pope kiss the koran?

So, when the Pope kissed the Koran, at a meeting recently with Islamic leaders, the Pope was claiming Islam for Mother Church.

Yeah. Or like putting the toilet seat back down in the same house after you've had a pee.

The Children of the Book have been making amends since the Crusades. I guess that, with the situation out in Israel, it's politically wise to show that you're willing to kiss a book that you don't believe in.

Another analogy could be like all that kissing the French do. When they walk up and kiss you on both cheeks. It shows that they're friendly - but deep down you know that they still think that they're better than you.

Ditto.

An interesting theory. For sure, the Church was on a mission throughout history to remake and overtake native cultures and annililate their wisdom and culture.
Respect for others vs World Dominion

hes part of the freemasonic hierarchy of Vll. not the true catholic faith, and to traditionals hes the false prophet whos an antipope.

many prophecies in our church predicted a church of mason posing as catholics, while destroying our faith and creating a false mass.

and most of our own church think hes a saint. hes bladphemed our church for 20+ years.

the world and the church are one, and all faiths are being united.

this pope is not a real pope. protestants have no clue what they are talking about, and dont have the slightest idea who runs the V2 hierarchy.
