In argument to what u said, it seems less likely that a series of hurricanes specifically targeted towns and villages as opposed to covering much of the globe. An apocalypse scenario sounds far out, but not as far-removed as a scenario that involves "laser-guided hurricanes". And anyways, what I called flood myths are really more like storm myths...read some of them for once.

Only problem with big off the ricter quakes every 3600 years aprox or so, even give or take 5000 years, the evidence of biblical proportion upsets in the earths crust, caverns, mountains and forests, glaciers etc. don't exist, at least in those time frames, or in eons of time. Also it becomes more complicated if A God and Creation is applied to the equation as there is 6,000years spoken of or thereabouts, again , give or take 2,000 years. It don't add up.

here is a idea, read the bible for the science fiction novel that it is and youll see the truth .. its fiction.

Half the stuff in the bible is pretty unbelieved, especially in the limited scope iof when people wrote it, remember when people wrote it Columbus had not sailed to America and it wasn't even thought of yet.

Its a total fiction masterpiece.... a popular one but still total fiction

E-ville is right.
Its a fantasy novel on par with Lord of the rings. You have talking donkeys and snakes. In this book Pi does not equal 3.14359---. If you are into that kind of fiction may i suggest the disk world series, its right up your alley.

There is archeological evidence for a worldwide catastrophe with a pole shif & flooding.
Mountains were uplifted & continents sunk. The evidence is all around the globe along with those folk tales.

when Earth nearly died.

"One of the most fascinating bodies of evidence is provided by animal remains found in caves, especially in Europe, Asia, South American and Australasia. These usually consist of chaotic agglutinated piles of disjointed bones of a variety of species that could never have co-existed in the same environment - tropical species in northern graveyards and northern species at many equatorial sites. Bird remains in Californian tar-pits illustrate this anomaly even more tellingly. We can only conclude that a vast cataclysm brought about such global carnage. "

Could you point to some of this evidence (links to sites where the archaeologists and rangers that work the sites are talking about this worldwide catastrophe)? I don't know of any, but would appreciate links to the Real Deal.

I would recommend that you not use that site as evidence -- if you actually research the information you will find that mammoths existed in warmer climates (and as far south as California), that they weren't flash-frozen... and that much of the other information is "urban legend" about what history says and not what really IS being said.

(That sentence about the findings in caves really is pretty bad... check out any of the sites on the Australian Marsupial Lion or perhaps Mammoth Cave here in the US and you'll see what I mean. There's been a recent good tv show on the marsupial lion and bones found in multiple Australian caves that contradicts that sentence.)

In regard to your post about ancient civilizations and specifically Noah's Flood...there is not one bit of evidence, archaeological, geological or in any of the other sciences that relate to earths history that there was a earthwide flood--at any time in our history--let alone 4500 or so years ago. Its all myth.
