Winfall tax on Oil Companies and ending Bush's tax cuts to the top 1% that helped cause this economic problem and ending Iraq. Ending Iraq alone will be 1.2trillion or more a year.

??? ARE YOU NUTS?

1. If you tax the oil companies they are going to PASS THAT OFF ON US, the consumer.
2. "Big Oil" has an 8.9% profit margin on their investments. The FEDERAL GOVERNMENT makes quadruple that from what we spend at the pump with NO investment.
3. "Bush's Tax cuts" created the greatest tax revenues in the history of this nation. The problem was NOT tax cuts, it was the SPENDING INCREASES.
4. "This problem" was caused by predatory lending to people that never should have been loaned money to begin with.
5. Iraq is ending, have you been watching the news? Troops are coming home.

Is that why McCain called for another century of war in Iraq? Is that why he voted no against a bill to fund the troops because it had a deadline? McCain will keep spending trillions in Iraq for as long as possible. And still, Obama ending Iraq is more then enough to pay for his new programs with money left over. And as for the myth of oil passing on the bill to us the Dems already tried to make the price gouging illegal but the republicans blocked it. Let's see them do that again with Obama at the helm. And the tax breaks to the top 1% sure helped other countries economies. More money to buy Jaguars, Ferraris, hookers in south east asia, blood diamonds from Africa, so forth. They never spent a penny in America and why should they? They can just stash the extra money off shore so they don't have to pay taxes on it and fill up their billion dollar jets and boats and space rockets.

I hate to disagree with a fellow Obama supporter, but McCain isn't an idiot like Bush. He's just gone from an admirable American hero to a sad old guy who laughs like Bevis and Butthead, has policies that may have seemed fresh in 1972, and an outmoded cold-war view of a very complicated world. Of course, his followers don't want complicated, since their vocabulary extends only to "socialist", "Muslim", and "terrorist". This election will, for most of us, be about the economy. Don't waste your time calling me a socialist - I've been a proud American socialist since 1970!

If you do, you are doing alright, and need not worry about paying a little higher tax rate.

I sure hope so. Don't you?

Anyway, still haven't answered why I should be punished for wanting to be successful?

This is all a moot point anyway. No matter who becomes president, they will HAVE to raise taxes for EVERYONE. That is, if they are really serious about lowering the deficit and debt and to pay for all they are proposing.

im sorry, the death star will be fully operational.

if our govt system was worried about the financial system crisis they would stop spending billions of dollars over seas , stop pork belly spending, and so forth. in other words keep thier filthy hands out of the cookie jar, but they wont. so what does this tell you. well, its a no brainer. they do not care about it or you. speakin of govt do not care, the powers at be have already picked the president , puppet, and that will be mccain wether you like it or not, or wether we the people vote otherwise. your vote does not matter here. only the powers at be, decision counts.

This is exactly what the liberal media is trying to accomplish... dishearten real voters by making them believe that their vote wont matter anyway.. so they stay home.. and all of the 'voters' that ACORN registered will vote the way the socialists want...

Welcome the coming of the USSA if Obama is elected...

As sad and negative as this sounds, my feeling is that this is exactly what will happen. The last two elections seems to prove it is possible.

Obama pollsters came to my door asked who we favor..I politely said I favor neither. He then asked who I might vote for. I said you know it is none of you or anyone elses business who we are for. I said maybe I should call police since there is no solicitors allowed in this neighborhood.
He checked the McCain box..

Meh, didn't read through the whole thread.

You want polls? You want stats? Here, take this!

Ouch! Reality bites.

Apparently the negative campaign style of McCain/Palin has backfired.

It seems as if the American voters want answers to their problems not
acrimony and divisiveness.

Hi,
I'm in Australia, and a few months ago there was a news story on an accidental leak concerning the election results in the US by the firm responsible for releasing this news.... when the election is over. Of course the very next day was filled with what I call "not the news" in order to allow us plebs to forget what we heard the previous day.

The winner was declared, and it was Senator McCain.

Knowing that people really don't vote for who becomes president, because your vote is worthless compared to the Party office bearer who has a vote valued at 13, 000 times what any one individual has, and because you do not choose your president... they are chosen by the electoral college. Sux doesn't it? And they say we live in a democracy, lol.

So now I wait and see if this leaked information is/was correct... and somehow I really feel it will be, but I hope for your's and the world's sake that it was wrong.

I just realized something.

Obama will spend a trillion dollars in new spending. The GOP is up in arms over this. But they ignore that Obama will cut over a trillion dollars in spending by ending the unjust crime in Iraq. But then you see McCain. Will continue spending more then a trillion a year in Iraq for a hundred years, and will spend another trillion a year in Iran. But that's not all! He will "give" 5,000 to every American for healthcare. Three Hundred Million times 5,000=1,500,000,000,000 dollars. So McCain promises at least 3.7 TRILLION DOLLARS in spending while Obama promises cutting about two hundred billion total.

It would be nice if the war in Iraq would end and we could use all that money but there are problems with your theory.

First, we are borrowing the money to pay for that war. That means the money isn't on hand to be used anyway. It just means we will be borrowing money for Obama's programs instead of for the war.

Second, Obama isn't going to end the war. There will still be troops in and around Iraq and many will be sent to Afghanistan. Don't forget Biden saying they want to establish a no fly zone in Darfur. That means we will still be spending a substantial amount overseas.

Third throw in the unexpected. I don't think we fully understand how much this socialize bailout will truly cost us.

Obama or McCain trying to implement their massive spending programs won't help us cause as it is we don't have enough to pay for what we are doing now.

And McCain didn't say he wanted to continue the war for a hundred years. He said we may be there a hundred years kinda like we are in Okinawa japan and South korea, Germany etc...I believe that's 5000 per family not individual

Expanding in Afganistan will have the UN involved since that is where the Taliban and OBL are from. Well, actually as McCain said they're in Pakistan and are not to be touched. Yep, McCain told OBL that he can do a million times worse then 9/11 and nothing would happen because he's in Pakistan now. He even criticized Obama for saying that he didn't care where OBL was he'd get him. And anyways, cut Iraq and you have more then enough to pay for Obama's program. McCain will again be spending trillions more then Obama ever will. He also stated he'd spend trillions more to "buy" failed loans. So Obama will save 200billion, McCain will spend easily more then 5,000,000,000,000 more. But its nothing new for the GOP look at the Bush and GOP controlled Government. Spent more money then every president for the first 200 years in one year.(2004) Altogether they spent more then every president/congress in six years then the first 225years put together. Heck he outspent Clinton in less then 4 years. So McCain spending 5,000,000,000,000 more then Obama is no surprise.

FromAbove the person who started this Thread types and I quote...

"McCain's real numbers will begin to show."

With much respect to you I just had to say it's not his #'s that are beginning to show but his Ass! He's made so many mistakes and real immature ones at that. He was told to get rid of Palin from his own staffers from the start...he didn't listen. We the people have told him, screamed at him to show us how he plans to get us to the recovery stage in this economic nightmare...including and not limited to...the gold parachute rs who have ripped us off by not only spending 400grand in hotel suites just last week, but knowing what we were in for and still taking their MILLIONS in bonus! Instead of telling us how he was going to fix the last 8 years of blatant in your face war crimes, the taking away of our rights, the burning (basically) of our constitutions, etc and etc and etc...it never ends...He decides to tell us that he'll give us 5grand in health care...I pay 800.00 a month now... gee thanks!! Billions in tax breaks to the Oil Monsters, Attacking Obama instead of Attacking our CURRENT and DIRE Problems, Heck...he can't even get it right with his Vice Pres. Candidate...He says one thing she says the opposite. Not once have I seen Obama attack ...personally McCain and Palin...and we all know that's easy to do...90-% voting record with the worst President EVER...Keating 7, Divorce, Affairs, etc and etc..etc..it never ends.

If McCain does win... it will be voter fraud like it was in FL. and Ohio. Watch the doc on *How Ohio Pulled it off* it will make your skin crawl. There's much more educating to do then reading Polls and Watching Hannity that you could be doing to really get the facts. I'm not saying Obama's a saint by any means...but I do hear him saying how he's going to try and get us out of this mess....All's I hear from McCain is BlahmYfriendsBlah and Palin...I'm glad they found me not guilty in abuse of Power... ??huh!? McCains right...she would make a great Vice Pres. She lies with a straight face!!!

Respect, listening and honor... How does Dick and George go to sleep at night...hell, you would think Katrina alone would keep them up until the devil gets em!!!!

I'm sure your aware that when Bush helped OBL get his kidney during the 911 crisis... when he flew his family out of the US on 911 when all planes were grounded... anyways..to the point...the only reason McCain hasn't mentioned OBL and his plan to *GeterrrDONE* if the FBI's not lookin for him...then why should he? Besides...I'm going back to what I said from the start...Bush has him hidden away in some Mansion (it's public knowledge they were $friends$ in oil, money, and arms for the cause!!...unless his kidney's finally gave out...he's dead. We've all seen the faked OBL tapes when Bush needed a push for whatever agenda he had going on at the time.... lol rme~

You mean like how OBL would "release" tapes just when the numbers would dip? But after some people pointed out that the guy in the video was clearly not Osama Bin Laden suddenly only voice tapes would come out? And I love how McCain said very clearly that Obama was WRONG for saying he'd get Osama no matter what. Yep, Obama tells Osama that he's a dead man no matter where he is. McCain? Tells Osama he can sit two feet into the Pakistan border and nuke AMerican cities and he'd throw babies in front of any bullets or missiles fired at him to block them. He'd scream "No! Just because Osama Bin Laden just wiped out 8 cities with nuclear weapons we can't go after him he's in Pakistan!" then throw himself in front of Osama when he runs out of babies.

Looks like your numbers are all fouled up. First Un is not going to commit the forces you think. They are already balking at getting more involved and some are thinking about pulling their troops out.

Show me where McCain said he would spend trillions more to buy failed loans. Making up numbers is not good.

Must i remind you that Congress holds the string to the purse. And 6 years may have been GOP controlled but many Dems signed on for the ride. Ask Obama if he enjoyed his 800 or so million pork barrel that contributed to that debt?

Once again, cutting IRAQ will not get you more money. It is borrowed money in the first place. Guess what you are saying is that Obama can continue to borrow the money to pay for his programs.

www.msnbc.msn.com...

He says only 300billion. But there are about 34million Americans with Mortgages. So say he gave 10,000 to every one that alone is 3,400,000,000,000. But I doubt 10,000 would pay that off. So actually we're probably talking an easy ten trillion or more. And the UN won't send troops to Iraq because it is a waste and unjust. Afganistan, the country where the Taliban and Osama were when they attacked the WORLD Trade Center... another story. But McCain, as said, attacked Obama for saying he'd go after Osama no matter where he hid. McCain said since Osama was in Pakistan he would leave Osama alone. He'd sit back, watch cities be annihilated by nuclear weapons and just tell the troops "Hey, he's in Pakistan leave him alone."

Man, I wish your numbers were right Gamergal....

But unfortunately, neither candidate is giving us any money just like that.
Well, maybe.

After the elections Congress may be called to a lame duck session to vote on Obama and the democrat's $300 billion economic stimulus package. That may include another tax rebate.
www.washingtonpost.com...

Other than that....

The buying of the mortgages is for BAD mortgages. Not every single mortgage

And you know there's going to be a bunch of red tape to even get that.

And McCain's health care plan is mainly for people without health care. If you have it already, you're not going to get $5000 (if I understand it correctly - though I wish). And as someone said earlier it does not apply to every single individual in America.
