That's a double negative man. You can't arm a mob and expect to do anything peacefully. It's all or nothing.

I disagree. The whole point of showing up armed is to re-enforce our seriousness as well as our right to bear arms. The black panthers did this back in the 60s and it worked out well until FBI introduced crack into the ghettos.

This is true, it is our right to bear arms and as long as we have permits for them it should be completely legal. it would make a strong point and even a better one if the police start consfiscating them. how would they play this off in the media when you have cops taking away citizens weapons only ti find out they weren't loaded?

A couple of years ago, I heard about the Free State Project and mostly dismissed it as something I would never seriously consider. All of the "revolt" threads here reminded me of the FSP, and now it's really got me thinking. Maybe it's worth a try. Maybe it's a productive, non-violent way of taking a stand.

(Fathom, I promise I'm not following you around here.

I don't think the President, Congress or our representatives any longer worry about what the average American thinks or what his or her wishes are. I'm not an advicate of shooting someone but I leaning towards the idea. If you shoot a few of the Congressmen in the leg wouldn't the rest of them start thinking "Damn these Americans are pissed" maybe we should start representing them better. I'm sorry that we have allowed our country to get to this point but I'm running out of ideas other then the for mentioned one. Any body have any better solution? I'm tired of talk and am looking for some action to resolve our countries downfall.

do you really think that this band of crooks and thieves is going to let someone that opposes them win an election. You apparently don't know the power of this government.

I think that we DO need an armed revolt. The government has been hijacked and given itself unlimited powers. The very reason that our Founding Fathers put the Second Amendment in the Bill of Rights was to allow the citizenry, the people, to overthrow an oppressive government. Our government does not recognize state sovereignty and has made itself more powerful than the state governments. That was not in the design. The central, or Federal government was designed to have less power than the states, not more. The Federal government did not create the states, the states created the Federal government. Obama, our illegal and illegitimate president, and his evil cronies will do all they can to eliminate the First and Second Amendments and turn all gunowners into criminals.
They are shoving their pork bill down our throats and shackling our grandchildren with debt that will ever get paid. We need to organize, somehow, and take up arms against Washington and forcfully clean out Congress and the White House, and I am all in favor of having Ron Paul steer this broken vessel until we can piece it back together, the way our Founding Fathers intended it to be, because what we now have does not even remotely resemble what they designed. If they could come back today, they would be ouraged that a revolution has not already taken place. Socialism is fast taking over this country and it must be stopped. And although I am a registered Republican, I am very pissed at them for allowing this takeover to happen, without so much as one outcry. They have just stood by and let a Kenyan, without a real U.S. birth certificate, walk right into the White House. The Constitution states that only natural born citizens may seek the office of president. Where has all the outcry and outrage been during all of Obama's campaign? Of course the MSM would not address this issue, unless it were a Republican or Independent trying to illegally obtain the office. If the current condition is allowed to continue without any armed revolt, then ALL of our brave soldiers who have fought and died for freedom in the past have done so in vain. Socialism has NEVER worked anywhere and it will not work here. The power-hungry mongrels in Washington want to control every aspect of our lives. They want state-controlled everything; banking, business, education (which we have had for many decades, i.e. public schools, or government indoctrination facilities). Remember, the government cannot give anyone anything without first taking it away from someone else.
I have been, and continue to stock up on ammunition in preparation for the coming conflict. If it is not with the illigitimate government, then it will be with the Muslims who are seeking to gain control here and desire our demise. Conflict is coming. Stock up on arms and food.

Sorry to disappoint but if I was alive (maybe a previous reincarnation) 234 years ago I would have probably sided with the Crown (Torries) and not the Patriots (Revolutionaries). They were upset over a little tax on tea. Can you imagine what they would think of today's level of taxation?
Work it out within the legal (legislative) structure...while we still have one.

I have supported a armed peaceful march for many years. Every other group has marched the streets of Washinton except 2nd Amendment supporters. It is that Amendment that has keep this country free. I believe that a peacefull march would just be a little reminder that this country belongs to the people. It might just send a message that we want honest people in Washington who speak the truth. We do not need an armed revolt, and I would not support it. This can not be compaired to the "60's". The "Vote" is still the most important part of this country. I believe that what this country needs is a reminder that no one should lie, cheat, steal or Buy a vote to get into office.
This country is very young compaired to other nations, and I expect it to go through many changes in the next 230 years. The last thing it needs is another Civil War. What i'm afraid of is that Washington is forgetting who they work for, and that is our fault. I would suggest writting letters and being more active. Maybe an unarmed march to start with. Support your Gun Rights and get vocal.
If you are talking about a revolution you will find me on the other side.

You know I find it odd that one person places a post while the other talks about Revolt yet it just sounds like more ranting and no action almost as if that person wants someone else to start something they themselves are not willing to risk.
I am neither suggestion we do or don't take action merely making an observation.
I bet you don't even have a solid plan of action.
Seems like the guardians of the free republics was nothing more then claims and words on paper.
I agree our voices have gone in vain.
We protest we march we rally we vote.
yet we are ignored.
So the grass roots is useless?

OK what do you specifically suggest we do?
I grow tired of all these rants.
I am not saying I am any better worse then you guys. We are all in the same boat. until we come up with any real solutions.
And drop the excuses.
During the first revolution we only had maybe 3% f the people so if we do revolt we can only expect maybe 3% of the people to join us at first then more come later on.
If you are going to act fine otherwise it's just words on a screen. meaningless.

Either way what ever you boys decide to do best of luck God speed and as always Live Free or Die fighting!

Ok, I have been thinking about this for YEARS. The grassroots might work, but not politically. We should march on the cities and states (along with D.C.), Armed if we must, but at the least take out the leaders, jail them, and reset it with leaders that have the balls to get the job done. Pay off china and set the country right.
To work though, we would need to march in force on every city at the same time and take them off guard. The targets would be military bases and installations, city buildings, state houses, and the federal buildings. A peaceful protest, though "terrorist" in nature would show that we are determined. Change needs to happen now, and I am ready to die if need be to achieve said change.

real change wont come from armed insurrection. it will come from hard work in your communuties, long conversations with neighbors, and lots and lots of gardens.

armed insurrection just makes the gun manufacturers rich and gives an excuse to introduce a complete police state.

okay, you say it will accomplish nothing. Well, you may think that talking does something. It really don't. Gun makers don't care who they sell to. Gewehr sold to Hitler and the Soviets. They were arming both sides. Gun makers sell to anyone that pays. Really they get rich from everyone that buys. Do you really think that it cost 20,000 to make a M4? or a M16A3?? NO, production cost is around 500 USD per rifle.

Talking may accomplish making some people vote your way, but any way that you go, the people running will still be the same POS liars that have been in there sine '68. It doesnt really fix the problem if we just elect someone making unattainable promises that suit us. We need to make it clear that we have had enough of their #, and we aint taking it anymore.

Sure the PIGS in gov't may try to put us down like dogs for doing it, but who cares. AT least we tried. Better to die fighting, than to live under prosecution and oppressive rule!
I think its best put "Today is a good day to die."

and to support this, the document that set us to war with the Brittish Empire in 1776.
"That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among men, deriving their power from the Consent of the Governed. That whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is THE RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE to ALTER or ABOLISH it, and to INSTITUTE NEW GOVERNMENT..." declaration of independence 1776.
