The USS New York

It was built with 24 tons of scrap steel from the World Trade Center .

It is the fifth in a new class of warship - designed for missions that include special operations against terrorists. It will carry a crew of 360 sailors and 700 combat-ready Marines to be delivered ashore by helicopters and assault craft.

The ship's motto? 'Never Forget'

Pretty disgusting, how can you serve on this ship under the guise of protecting America's heart and soul... yet sailing on something built from facism.

Government sponsored tragic event, creates a weapon of war waged for government sponsored corporate expansionism.

I wonder if the soliders assigned to this ship are die hard patriots? who wouldnt question the very steal to which they depend on..

How can you sail on a boat that was made from pieces of people in it? How can you sell people's remains to a different country for their cement?

Money is everything. How sad.

Where are all the guns to fight terror with? Is this a troop ship or a fighting ship?

Its a troop transport ship, and deploys teams directly into combat.

It most certainly would come with various electronic countermeasure systems and a minimal defense armament ; but the real weaponry is on the other ships it is deployed with.

LPD is a designation for a troop transport basically, correct me if im wrong

Linkage to the external source please? I've long thought that a ship built from the remains of a tragedy would be a very cursed ship indeed. I'd like to dig around and see how many people died during construction of it.
