I was just wondering what you guys think are some of the best bands that dont get the attention they deserve?

My tastes in music vary like you would not believe, but heres my list.

Mindless Self Indulgence -They are like nothing you are likely to hear. The best way I can describe it is Techno-Punk with a dash of hip hop (if that makes sense)

Sleepytime Gorilla Museum - I saw these guys live. Very dark sounding, but not death metal. Still good.

Faun Fables - This girl is awesome. Just plays acoustic guitar and sings, but very dark sounding as well. Like if Jewel was playing music in hell........nice.

GRND NTL BRNDS - (pronounced 'grand national brands') - Very good, if youre into the indie rock type sound.

.........the list could go on, but these are the CDs that are in constant rotation in my car and house lately.

American HiFi - a type hovering miday between a POD and an AFI.

There are a bunch of bands out of western europe with freaky names that are good also...

Electric Frankenstien-A slow metal band kinda groovy like Cathedral
Grass-My band we sound similar to EyeHateGod and Mt Dying Bride(Old stuff tho)

Donkey Punch! - a good ol' midwest ska band. they were mentioned in rolling stone maybe a year ago or so. they're really good.

Mustard Plug - another really awesome midwest ska band. they're pretty popular, but they could go a lot further.

I totally agree. Nils Frykdahl also used to be in a similar sounding band called Idiot Flesh. You should check that out if you like sleepytime.

They're a Scottish metal/rock'n'roll type band, they've got a great unique sound and they don't get a fraction of the attention they deserve...

I started a thread on them and nobody replied, so check out this website NOW!!!
