Yeah, the Mothers of Invention are really good. Im a huge zappa fan.......dunno why I didnt think of that when I was making my original list.

The thing about Zappa is that his stuff is really diverse. He has stuff that is orchestral, some stuff that is only guitars, and other stuff.

I would have to say that my favorite Zappa CD is Joe's Garage...., but my favorite songs, off the top of my head are.

Montana.

In fact, all three of those are on the Greatest hits CD that came out years ago.

He was one of the greatest guitar players that ever lived.

Nerf Herder - a frickin' hilarious punk rock band. find and download "love sandwich." don't ask, don't think, just do it.

MxPx - i love these guys. they're a christian punk band, so i figured they'd be lame at first, but they're actually incredible.

The best Frank Zappa song is the Apostrophe album. It's basically one giant song. G-Spot Tornado was a good song, though.

As for bands that no one has heard of, I would have to say The Pillows are quite awesome. They are a Japanese band with guitar riffs that rock steady. They do some techno too, but not a lot. Harvey Danger was awesome too.
