BBC News 24 have stuck with the 2 planes all afternoon so a few news outlets might have jumped the gun on some reports coming in.

US and Georgia have spoken, but there has been no call for help.

And if anyone cares: John McCain urges Russia to cease military operations.

I bet this conflict will not be solved peacefully

Russian tanks have rolled into Georgian territory as fears grow that all-out war will erupt over the breakaway province of South Ossetia.

Georgian president is calling for the u.s to help them, there could be a chance that the U.S might get involved in this one gets out of hand...

Just catching up but right now on the BBC news it says that Russia has NOT confirmed that it has used any of it's airforce yet and the Pentagon have said that they have NOT been asked for help by Georgia

WOAH!!!! Thats a lot of force for something that COULD escalate into a "war", things are starting to look bad for Georgia.

AFP: A Belgian minister has said UN Security Council meetings to resume over this matter.

EDIT: The US will send an envoy to the region.

Casualties in the S. Ossetian capital could be over 1000 according to their President, but I'm sure the Russians and the Georgians have their own figures as well.
