Last time I checked the UK was part of NATO.

Yes the USA has been assisting the new Democracy in Georgia. That's no threat to Russia. It's not like we are placing bombers or nuclear warheads in their backyard (Cuba). Russia is even opposed to missle defense systems.... why? I would be opposed to any offensive systems placed on my borders but why be afraid of defensive systems? Use Cuba as an example again, SAM shields... so what. Nuclear warheads... hell no.

It only took one person being assasinated to help set off a world war in the past. This could get really nasty. If Russia retakes the country things are not going to be good for the rest of us. Let's hope cooler heads prevail ASAP!

Wе should all condemn actions of Georgian authorities. This can't bе solved bу waging war. Moreover it mау spread to other regions. And it also hellps terrorists to use it in different ways. Terrorist infiltration into the region will shatter the status quo in terms of international energy projects e.g. Baku Tbilisi Сеуhаn. Islamic terrorists disguised as osetians саn blow uр the pipelines.

As ive stated in other threads, There is Zero chance of a full scale war happening

Are you sure that's not Envoy(as in Diplomatic core)? Convoy would indicate military and I just don't think the U.S. is gonna leap into this with two feet right off the bat.

I have just been watching russian news and the new president says that georgia will be punished severely, this is not the words of a man ready to call it quits...........

it says that Russia has NOT confirmed that it has used any of it's airforce yet

We don't really need that kind of confirmation when we can see it for ourselves in pictures.

1000 dead is just the numbers seen - as reported Georgia have started a campaign of genocide.
