All day today, they've been bombing Georgia from numerous warplanes and specifically targeting (the) civilian population

From what I've seen on the news the Georgian army seems to be using T55's and T62's..... and the Russian tanks rolling over the border look to me like T80's with reactive armour... Georgia is screwed

I don't see how they can go back from this point, I mean this is going to the point of no return. At the least this thing will last a few days. But if Russia does drop that bomb, then oh boy, things are going to take a turn for the VERY VERY worst

I think everyone should remember that when Georgia broke away... They may of taken more than a few bombs of their own with them.

President of Georgia has stated Russian planes are attacking Georgian towns, in a press conference. OK Georgie Lonzasy a journalist is on the line with Sky, he says he's seen heavy fighting, some planes come from the Russian territory and attack the Georgian Capital. This is really getting bad

There are American personal there..U.S is concern about them(we have many there training them) But right now their trying come it done,but Russia refusing

International Red Cross says the main hospital in the South Ossetian capital is not functioning, and both sides should allow aid agencies free access to the region.

Bush and Putin are talking about the situation.

Reuters now reporting 4 Russian planes shot down and 10 Russians killed and 30 wounded in fighting.

Russia will Not Accept Call off(I think the talk will go,after what Georgia did).
I mean for U.S that would mean full out war

AP: Georgian Interior Minister has stated that Georgian troops have lost control of parts of the South Ossetian capital due to heavy bombardment from the Russians.

Sky have said AFP have reported Georgia have lost parts of S. Ossatia after Russian planes bombarded areas where Georgian troops were.

Before this blows out of proportion. Dont believe the mass media which is against russia in general. Here are some facts:

South ossetia and Abkhazia was not part of Georgia before Stalin annexed the region.
Georgia claimed the territories as their own, against the will of the locals and Russia of course.
NATO in a bid to piss russia off and get Georgia on good terms, recognized it is georgian.
Most citizen in those regions are russians ethnic or have russian citizenship. Georgia troops allegedly slaughtering many of them.


Look it up on google, dont believe the western propaganda. Russia is doing the right thing.

We are hearing that they were given Russian passports; they did not apply for them. Do the South Ossetians want to be Russian, or do they want to be their own nation?

If the Russians become fully involved, we could see the formation of a material frontier in South Ossetia in the clash between East and West.

Russia has been provoking the Georgians for months now. Does anyone remember the footage of a Russian plane shooting down a 'Georgian Drone?' over its own territory?. The Russians are desperately trying to get back onto the world stage, Putin and his thugs believe the only way to be noticed is through threats of violence and evidently now, the use of violence. Georgia didn't start this, Moscow has carefully orchestrated the whole escalation. Its also in my opinion that since Georgia has formerly requested an application to be a member of NATO, that NATO should come to Georgia's aid immediately. What are they waiting for?, we all know that the majority of NATO do nothing, the only real war fighting nations, when push comes to shove are the British and Americans. They need to step up to the plate, we could do this with conventional forces without it escalating to nuclear stand off. I say we roll on in there, bend that decrepit rusty out of date military machine known as the Russian bear over our knee and give it a good spanking!!....Theres an old British Military song about the War in the Crimean (British-Russian War of 1854 - 1856) that goes something like "We don't want a fight, but if they start one, then by golly we'll finish one, we've got the men, we've got the ships and we've got the guns, we'll have em on the run!"....hahha!..classic

Russias 58th army have still not arrived, expect the worst when they do as they will be pissed for losing 4 planes if the information is true.
