i fail to see how not owning a passport makes us ignorant of the world. i had a passport when i was younger when i took a trip to the UK. that was 14 years ago. i have not used it since or before that. a lot of people can't afford to take vacations at all, let alone fly overseas. we don't need passports to go to canada or mexico and the US is big enough for people to find things to do in our own country. before the EU you needed a passport to get anywhere (this is my impression). americans can get by just fine without them. =)

i will grant you that many americans barely have any idea of what's going on in the US and almost no idea of what is going on in the rest of the world. I at least make a small effort to stay on top of things.

anyway to your question, i knew tony blair was out but i couldn't think of the new guy's name off the top of my head.

And the flag for the UK, is diffrent, thats the one that 99% of americans know... the union Jack?
