I know it's a little late and that his Presidency is almost over but I think that he should be tried for war crimes when he's out of office. That way congress could get take precautionary actions to make sure that the events of the Bush administration won't be repeated throughout the course of history again. If congress does try Bush for warcrimes should he receive some sort of penalty for what he's done? What kind of penalty do you say that he should get?

Never mind.

Removed for grotesque imagery.

Do you think George W Bush should be punished? Of course he should be punished, but, if he is punished, how harshly should they punish him?

He should be locked in solitary confinement and made to watch the film ''The Sound of Music'' on a continuous loop 24/7/365 for the rest of his life.

I'm not joking. I do think George W Bush should be punished. However his terms of office are almost over. So what should his punishment be? Why should we imprison him if he's not going to be able to do anything after he leaves?

What war crimes? I know it is hip to bash Bush for everything, but what war crimes are you talking about?

I'm a big Bush supporter and I haven't seen anything that he has done that would warrant a war crimes trial, much less impeachment proceedings.

Oh I'm sure someone is going to come up with a list....and most likely use some hate-Bush, pro-liberal website to back up their claims. Leave the fantasy world alone, and give me some real world claims.

What warcrimes? He lied to us about Saddam Hussein about having nuclear weapons and he used the attacks of 9-11 to get us into war with Iraq when he should have been focusing on the Taliban and the Al-quaeda in Afghanistan.

Not to mention he has passed legislation that allows him to imprison anyone without a warrant. He can search and seize your house. The patriot act basically overrides the constitution. After all he thinks the constitution is just a sheet of paper with words.

Were these people lying to? Are they going to join Bush at his War Crimes trial?

"One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom line."
--President Bill Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998

"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program."
--President Bill Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998

"Iraq is a long way from [here], but what happens there matters a great deal here. For the risks that the leaders of a rogue state will use nuclear, chemical or biological weapons against us or our allies is the greatest security threat we face."
--Madeline Albright, Feb 18, 1998

"He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten times since 1983."
--Sandy Bergler, Clinton National Security Adviser, Feb, 18, 1998

"[W]e urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs."
Letter to President Clinton, signed by:
-- Democratic Senators Carl Levin, Tom Daschle, John Kerry, and others, Oct. 9, 1998

"Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process."
-Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D, CA), Dec. 16, 1998

"Hussein has ... chosen to spend his money on building weapons of mass destruction and palaces for his cronies."
-- Madeline Albright, Clinton Secretary of State, Nov. 10, 1999

"There is no doubt that ... Saddam Hussein has reinvigorated his weapons programs. Reports indicate that biological, chemical and nuclear programs continue apace and may be back to pre-Gulf War status. In addition, Saddam continues to redefine delivery systems and is doubtless using the cover of a licit missile program to develop longer-range missiles that will threaten the United States and our allies."
Letter to President Bush, Signed by:
-- Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL), and others, Dec 5, 2001

As far as legislation goes...legislation is started in Congress...as the President you either sign it into law or veto it.

Nice try! But you are so far off base it's not even funny! NEXT!

Jesus, Mary and Joseph, is this something that's going to be an ongoing thing? I swear, at least once a week it seems, someone posts, "Should Bush be tried for warcrimes???"

Heck, why not? Might be something better to watch on TV than BS reality TV.

Yes. He should be tried. For punishment we can either turn him over to Iraq people for punishment -- or -- we can divest the entire Bush dynasty ... since the 20th century they have all been traitors, spies, assassins, drug runners, weapons traders, genocidal murderers. After we divest them, make them work at minimum wage ... unless we turn them over to the victims of their genocides.

Human nature is to forgive, as the blacks in south africa forgave the racist nazi regime that genocided them on a one-to-one basis, confronting the men responsible in court, asking them why did they kill the black children and adults.

they needed to know why in order to forgive. HOWEVER, forgiveness doesn't mean we don't slice and dice, or divest and imprison or maroon on an island.

There's no other joker in the 21st Century that has brought such misery to the whole of humanity, just because of the power of Greed. GWB must be Punished for his crimes to Humanity by way of Deception....Let Justice Prevail.

I do not think he should be tried for war crimes. HE SHOULD BE TRIED FOR TREASON. He lied to the American people to take away our liberties and rights under the Constitution. His actions and the actions of his administration allowed 911 to happen.

The only time a terrorist attack was successful in the United States and it is on Bush's watch. Not even Jimmy Carter let terrorists attack America.

I say strip him naked, put some panties on his head and fly him to a muslim country so they can torture the truth out of him.

According to the UN Resolution DU weaponry is illegal and constitutes weapons of mass destruction, that the US and UK have used by the megatons since the Gulf War, and this will be going down as massive genocide against civilians. Its a war crime.

Funniest post of the day!!!! ...... and alternate with videos of Barry Manilow doing "Copacabana".

I Don't think Bush should be tried for war crimes, UNLESS all of congress, and the allied leaders that approved are tried as well. In short, no. I can express that I think much of the war in Iraq was poorly planned. Hindsight is really a spiffy thing, isn't it? We sit in our comfy homes and create postulates about what should have been done.

There is much that I disagree with regarding the Bush administration. War crimes? Where were all the media heroes when this event was all coming about? Hiding? Not taking a stand? I don't know. Certainly the U.S. economy is in disarray. Can we place most of that at Bush's door? Yes, I think so.

This is probably where videos "proving" Bush is a reptoid should be inserted.

Bush is guilty as Blair, it is not about all, rather the directing minds. They are the criminals who presumed as politicians to have more specialist information than Hans Blix. They deserve to go for that arrogance alone. One other factor, since our last peace treaty with Iraq, they had not invaded anyone. Woodrow Wilson's rules totally ignored. What an excuse for a President.

Like a good Prosecutor, let us see why GWB should be charged for both (1) War Crimes and (2) Treason. There is plenty more evidence to fill an Oil Tanker.

RRconservative,

I agree, a punishment to all. I would give George and his cronies more voltage, or a sharper guillotine, but still, all government should be punished at this point.

War Crimes and Crimes Against Humanity.

I would testify against him as an expert witness if such a deposition as I might give was required of me.

The changes to the Health Care "System" made by the NeoCons constitutes an assault on the physical and mental well-being of the American People.

There will be Tribunals.
