Weather this true or hoax there is an adult way to go about this and belthermar is being rude to say the least, we get the point and we can each decide for ourselves how we want to handle ourselves we don't need to be told over and over again.

Yes i think it is about time you put in an alert! Ask yourself one question though

am i being logical and ratiional or genuinley rude?

I think its rude to post a Hoax and ingore all the people who doesnt believe in it. Its like buying all the good stuff and skipp the bills. You just have to supply with more facts and evidence. The Dude has a camera but posts thumbnails, whats with that?

You guys are missing something key in this post. Pages on pages ago I made a statement. It was a statement that I believed the OP based on his description of "falling asleep" afterward. I am an Experiencer and I have told a few people in my personal life my story, I have not posted my experience in any detail, but never the less it happened.

Now listen up one of the "ear marks" of this type of encounter(or any encounter) is that simple little fact that after it's(the encounter)all over, you find yourself going right to sleep! In my case when I do tell my story among my personal friends, for over a year now I have included the very same detail regarding a sudden urge to sleep. After being examined by more than one "Being" I vividly recall saying to myself "Wow I just seen some beings in my bedroom and now.. now I'm going to sleep, how weird is that". Now this is a conversation I was having with myself AS I was laying down to sleep after my visit. It was as if someone had drugged me or something similar , perhaps a technology making me sleepy? In any case it's the same thing The OP and his wife are claiming the same type of thing in this thread.

So I ask all of you that think you know so much about reality (which you don't) I ask you to try and figure this out. Either the OP is telling the truth or he has taken note of some of these details from geniune cases and using them to create a convincing post. Now given the past history of his posts which are nothing related to E.T.'s visiting and more related to survival stuff. I would find it extremely strange for him to make this all up out of the clear blue.

Again are you guys saying he purposely found out little details from real cases and included them in his post to convince those of us that are looking for these particular detail to show up? It's possible but highly unlikely as we can weed out the real from the fake alien visitations with some of these key factors(if we can get rid of our narrow world view that is).

I will say the OP could in fact have gathered the type of details that would push this over into the believable category sure. but it sure is a far out tale isn't it? If you were trying to HOAX an ET visit would you not just go with the classic Grey type visit? You could still include all the details of hacking and slice'n etc.. The whole violent thing would still fly if the OP had claimed it was a Grey and handled the story a little differently many people would totally believe it right off the bat. But it's not a typical encounter! And it's not from the typical (or what we think is a typical hoaxer or kid poster just bs'n)type of poster. It was posted by one of our respected regulars that really has showed alot more interest in the out doors and survival, I see no reason the OP would make this up, he had plenty of ATS points, not to mention the OP said he was putting his "good name" on the line more or less and that is so true. A few days ago he was highly respected and now because his experience doesn't add up in your tiny world view you think he's a nut or just needing attention. SHAME ON YOU GUYS! SHAME ON YOU ALL!

And one last time I submit to you the most important piece of his testimony is that part about "going to sleep right away after the experience" .. don't you get it folks? That detail (for the last time)that detail is one of the reasons you "should" believe that something has taken place. And if you had experienced this yourself you would know how significant it is, but you don't know do you?
Either he included that to convince the ones that know about this type of thing or something really did happen to him.
Now I have repeated the key factor about 3 or 4 different ways so for the remainder of this thread please don't act like I didn't say this like you guys have for over 30 pages after I posted in regards to this earlier.
Open your world view to include truths period. Don't try and pick and choose your world view based on rational thinking, because the world and the entire universe is not rational like we want it to be. Now saying all that what other evidence is there that makes sense?

The fact the we have similar accounts for the last 2000 years ? That's right from minute one I stood back and waited form someone to mention the ancient so called "God" known as "Dagon" and many other similar accounts through out history of "Fish Men". So we have the "falling asleep after the visit' factor that lines up with genuine cases and we also have the description of the creature that matches what many have described though out history and totally unrelated cases might I add. Did the OP gather up credible information to fool us? To me that is what needs to be decided if possible, because the actual meat and potatoes of this story do in fact line up perfectly with encounters of this nature.

This reply is to not only the person I replied to but is (obviously) addressing all the skeptics here in regards to this post.

To Dan Tanna- I am sorry to see that by taking your heartfelt story out of RATS this is the reception you have received from so many- although it is to be expected. Secondly, from my experience, I must inform you that I believe you may have nearly murdered a member of one of the five most benevolent species currently visiting/inhabiting our Terra. People asking questions does not necessarily signify either belief nor disbelief. People ask questions because they are searching for truth. Sometimes the quest takes us in unexpected directions.

Truth or Lie??? Hmmm, no matter, Dan Tanna's ATS points have gone from 2k to 11k in a very short amount of time. RATS or ATS??? RATS wasn't allowing for that potential, ATS has!

Either way, Dan Tanna has to be content with how this story turned out, it has entertained and increased his value here(not sure why that matters, but some people care).

Does this put his membership at risk? How can it be proven false? He has told a good story and given some slightly removed evidence, but nothing conclusive. Oh well, I see no reason for anyone to get their panties in a bunch either way.

I have no idea if Dan's story is true or not. I do know, from experience, that after a close encounter with an ET it is very possible to fall fast asleep right after the incident.

When I saw a UFO over my parents home I was not 50 yards from it. My mind and body instantly went into maximum alert. Due to physical problems I have a rough time walking normally but that night I ran very fast back to my house.

After my daughter and I chased or followed it in my car I went back home when it finally vanished. I went straight to bed and fell asleep. Normally I would have been on full alert the rest of the night.

The event was erased somehow from my and my daughters minds for 3 or 4 years. I had no recollection until I found ATS.

I told my story on ATS. that was almost a year ago. Even now I am remembering more details of the experience.

It is reasonable that Dan could very easily have some of his facts in the wrong order or may seem incorrect. Absolute fear does strange things to you mind and body.

As far as defending himself and his family he did what I would have done.
My SO and I both have a 38 revolver within easy reach by our bed and other guns also close. If my doors are locked and I find someone in my bedroom I will shoot and ask questions later. It would be one of those kill or be killed moments.

I want to thank those ATS members that viewed my thread about my encounter. I was treated with respect and not flamed.

Maybe we need lessons on how to debate without being rude, crude and hostile. I have absolutely no respect for those that have been hateful in their posts to this thread.

Please be kind...............you may have a story to tell one day.

I think your a tad over the top with your guns and trigger happy mode, though i do know what its like to fight to protect family by any means...

No, I disagree...not any encounter. This story is unique in that it does not consist of being visited by 3-4 short, grey, aliens....floated out of bed while immobilized.....examined in some intrusive way.....then placed back in bed with little or no recollection of the event.

I can recall no other abduction event, encounter, or experience that has this level of conscious activity by the experiencer.

No, this story has a furious struggle involving two knives--one of which is allegedly broken in the violence--and an ice-axe. (Dude has at least two knives and an ice axe within reach in his bedroom.....at least he's providing plenty of weapons for an attacker.)

How about you stop pulling labels on Belthermar... and look at this ridicules topic in greater detail.

I love how people claim they are open minded, but cannot fathom that those who've seen just how silly this story is and point it out in a very methodical way by using facts, references and other RATIONAL means of asking questions... you simply put a label on a person and claim all sorts of things...

Stop, defending Dan... if he was a leader and he convinced you THIS easily in a matter, you'd all be dead or dying. But thankfully Dan is nothing of the sorts.

Try and express YOUR HONEST AND RATIONAL explanation on WHY YOU think his event was true and honest. Tell us so we can have a better understanding of your reality. I respect it if you believe in his story, just don't fight for a cause that's not worth stating your reputation on.
