by accounting methods, Rush is airing on more stations,
but i , as some others admitted on ATS have chosen not to listen to him
on this local area talk radio station ( i dont tune in Hannity either).

it seems i have readjusted my chores so that having the radio on while doing work in the garden is not in the cards anymore ~~ ergo, bye-bye Rush & Sean ~~

lets see if the uber smart bean counters figure that demographic in their figures...most likely not

i've never figured out if his hubris (i.e. the EIB 'Golden Microphone')
is a spoof or is delusional pomp & self image

Can you imagine the stench coming out of his skin from all the cigars he smokes

This is an example of exactly the kind of response I expected from the left when I said there would be "wringing of hands and gnashing of teeth".

Come on. This is the best "criticism" of Limbaugh you can come up with?

I even admitted that I long ago grew tired of his style, but dissing him for getting a massage and because he smokes cigars?

Wow, talk about a costly agenda! Goes to show how easily money is thrown around.

400 million to the war! 400 million to Rush to keep ppl in line!

Imagine the 0C's that u can buy with that kind of payroll.

If society would have had people like R.L. back in the day, half the country would have been burned as "witches".

God Bless America!

If Limbaugh can entertain his listerners, keep up the ratings, and keep bringing in money to network and advertisers, more power to him.

I'm not sure if this is more a statement on Rush's popularity or on the stupidity of his listeners.

It does prove there's a market for a drug-addicted child molester who lies to his audience out of political expediency and freely admits doing so.

The man doesn't believe half what he says, and the half he does believe comes from the Oxycontin.

Well, I quess the ultimate sheep herder to the American people renewed his license to herd. The poster boy, drug addict of the neo-con movement. Dumbing down Americans turns another ridiculous chapter.

Child molestor? Want to back that up?

I don't have to "back up" a damn thing I say about Limbaugh, considering how many baseless accusations against Liberals fly from his mouth on a daily basis. If he doesn't have to "back up" what he says neither do I.

That said, I'll throw you a bone here: When he was caught with that unprescribed Viagra he was returning from the Dominican Republic, a haven for child prostitution. He didn't have a woman with him. What was he up to that he needed Viagra for? Think about it.

I did think about it. IMO way too much of a reach to even be considered. Do they have any of the "hedonism" style resorts in the Dominican Republic? Do not let your hate for the man consume your ability to reason.

Hmmmm, prostitutes?

Maybe a girl who took a different flight home to avoid being hounded by the press?

Do you ever drive by a school without kids in your car? I guess that makes you a child predator too right?

I am no fan of Limbaugh, but to those of you who claim he is "an idiot, a retard, a moron, isn't well liked, etc etc", I have this to ask:

How much do you make per year?

How many millions of people listen to your opinions every day?

Own your very own Gulfstream jet?

If you answer:

Less than 50 million per year, less than a few million, and NO, then you are failing compared to Limbaugh and may need to take some time to re-evaluate your position in life.

Here is a BIG FYI for YOU....he broadcasts this information like its no big deal in such a sense that he is bragging. I have heard him do this many many times over the air and how many times has he mentioned his glorious naked body? Maybe you should call El Rushbo and give him the thumbs down for TMI (in case you dont know what TMI stands for its TOO MUCH INFORMATION)

Best to ya.

Yeah, because those are the things that really matter in life.

Well, I have to hand it to him, he has a market for it and he apparently does his job well enough to earn that much money. Personally I don't like the guy, anyone that pulls a hard-line leftist/right attitude and keeps people in their sway is doing no true good for this country, imo.

Getting paid $400 million to help in the cause of keeping America divided. What a God send. :shk:

Hope he spends it fast, 2012 is coming soon.

My ability to reason is just fine, thank you. It is precisely because of my ability to reason that I do hate the man, as should anybody with half a brain in their head. His work as a propagandist for the neo-con "Right" is partially to blame for the mess this country is in right here and now. If you fail to see that, there's no point in trying to convince you, because you'll dismiss out of hand any argument or evidence to the contrary.

Limbaugh is a scumbag who whores for the highest bidder. As someone who believes selling out is inherently wrong I will never respect him, regardless of how much money he makes or how large his so-called "audience" is. Unlike Rush, I have principles. It's just saddening to see so many other people who claim to have principles support such hypocritical swine.

400 million dollars could feed alot of people in this country. It's a shame that all the elite are making billions while us hard working ( the backbone of America ) are sweating, bare knuckling and barely getting by from paycheck to paycheck. Only in America, where nobody gives a da#n about what's going on in this country and are just waiting for the next season of American Idol. While all the Mom & Pop stores are shutting down, corporation's are laying off, fuel prices are staggering and food is rising in price and being contaminated at an alarming rate, you have Mr. Big Shot who knows it all and talks and talks and talks to make a 400 million dollar contract behind a microphone.
Like I said " only in America".

He can afford better medical care, better legal representation, a less stressed life, and if need be, a personal security detail if SHTF time happens soon.

Who do you think would be in a better position to survive? Someone who can bug out at will with all of the resources he needs, or someone who has to "make do"?

They say money can't buy happiness, but it sure as hell makes it alot easier to be happy, and not just in materialistic terms either.

Personal responsibility and less reliance on government.

No, he doesn't deserve the GDP of Japan... so it's a damn good thing he's not getting anything close to the GDP of Japan. Notice that a country's GDP is usually listed in millions of dollars. Japan's GDP is $4.4 trillion, not $400 million dollars. A difference of 10^6 orders of magnitude! Suddenly the perspective seems a bit... less startling.

For comparison (and perspective) Rush's ontract is worth roughly the GDP of the island of Samoa. (rank: 173 out of 180 nations ranked on the list I saw from Wikipedia). This means over the course of his 8 year deal, Rush will make roughly a year's worth of Coconut, bananas, & noni berry exports.

Yes! yes! yes! I'm all for the down sizing and changing this democratic government back to a republic where government is doing the job they were meant to do. Protecting our rights, liberties and property. Seems like all that is being taken away when the government needs it. As for Rush, I like the man, he has forever changed the way talk radio is today and will be in the future, but that salary is ridiculous.

Actually, if whatever situation you are referring to happens, I would feel a lot better knowing that no one knows exactly how capable I am of protecting myself. Mr Money however will be tracked by the masses because they'll want that piece of the survival pie.

Not to mention, if everything goes to hell, exactly what is his money and jet going to do? If there really is an elite group running around willy-nilly, would they want him around after he didn't serve his purpose anymore? I wouldn't.

Wow, I had no idea radio was such a lucrative profession! This makes Limbaugh second in radio only to Howard Stern, who got a 5 yr/$500 million contract in 2004. Let's see how these salaries stack up:

Stern...............$100 million/yr
Tiger Woods.....$80 million/yr
Limbaugh.........$50 million/yr
Alex Rodriguez.$27.5 million/yr
Mats Sundin......$10 million/yr
Bush................$400,000/yr (officially)
Me.................. $30000/yr ($Cdn)...ouch, I shoulda gone into radio...

At least now he will be able to afford the really good stuff, and not just the pretty good stuff.
