We Kentucky folk do not break-easy and seem to be in ratio-large numbers here at the FCP.. hmmm...
Heike do not despair, I did not abandon you and am really looking forward to posting response, but as I said when we started I wanted no time limits
for skirmish -- sorry if it was not clear enough -- but I wanted to lollygag possibly till Year's end.
I figured there was nothing else going on around here until the next tourney and all the holiday cheer would be drained if no one was skirmishing
after the 20th. If you cannot bear it, let me know and I will pick up the pace.
As it is I am having a personal hog-heaven, dream day;it is rainy and cold where I live -- LA -- which is never rainy or cold, so it is akin to
a snow day. I finished Updike's last novel -- which was subtle and masterful-- and have now started one by Victor Pelevin and have a fearful, giddy
hope that the hole in my heart left by D.F. Wallace's sudden, self-induced demise, may begin to begin to heal.
All to say, I'm laying in bed and reading and feeling fortunate as hell that I can. I do have an idea where I am going with next response and could
get it together today if need be, but would rather light the fireplace, open a bottle of red wine and put some lamb stew on the stove... and then
catch up on the other skirmishes.
