No, Really?

(sarc off)

My avatar now reflects my mood - and is pretty much what I looked like (apart from the age) when my doorbell went earlier.

The expression is pretty much spot on

he he

what about a fighter who hasn.t debated yet - she is a bartender (btw. tonight i will post my final post and than i will throw that bartender apron away for ever)

question: what about a super mod visiting the FCP and not debating?

is it really a visit?
or bartending for eternity?

@budski

i am scared
don.t stare at me that way!!!

Never fear OL - that look is only for people who turn up on my doorstep with no warning and expect me to drop everything and entertain them with food and booze

Actually, that sounds a bit like FCP

Just a note here.

I just took my 24 extension in my debate.

I was in an accident last night and wrecked my car pretty good. I'm fine other than being pretty sore and stiff today. I don't know if my car is totaled yet or not, so I've been dealing with insurance and everything today. Hopefully I can get back to normal operation tomorrow.

Good luck nyk - hope it all works out for you.

Better hope that the guys in the insurance office work harder than you do

Glad you're ok.

Unfortunately the "guy" I hit was a stone barrier.

I don't think he has a job.

Thanks everyone.

If you need even more extension, I'd be fine with that. No rush.

I really appreciate that.

I've got a courtesy car until my car gets looked at, (which according to my insurance will be Friday at the earliest) so that's one thing less to worry about now. Other than a stiff neck and some sore muscles I'm alright, I just don't have my mind in it today. Tomorrow I should be centered enough to continue, but if anything changes I'll let you know.

Thanks for being so understanding. This has been a rough month for me and my family.

I want to choke somebody right now. Our lovely state legislature just pushed through the "Children's Video Game Protection Act", love how Orwellian that is by the way. Some things include, fines for selling minors M rated games are in some cases Twice as much for a violation to selling cigarettes or beer. And the two parts I love, M rated games have to be put into their own section like I'm going to the porn section of a video rental store, and a statewide 28% tax on video game sales. So now that $60 game costs be $81. All the sudden risking voiding the warranty on my xbox to mod it seems worth it. Anybody who's familiar with tax law, if I submitted this to the ACLU, would I a chance in hell? Also, Heike, since you debated me on the subject, just curious what your take is on this?

We Kentucky folk do not break-easy and seem to be in ratio-large numbers here at the FCP.. hmmm...

Heike do not despair, I did not abandon you and am really looking forward to posting response, but as I said when we started I wanted no time limits for skirmish -- sorry if it was not clear enough -- but I wanted to lollygag possibly till Year's end.

I figured there was nothing else going on around here until the next tourney and all the holiday cheer would be drained if no one was skirmishing after the 20th. If you cannot bear it, let me know and I will pick up the pace.

As it is I am having a personal hog-heaven, dream day;it is rainy and cold where I live -- LA -- which is never rainy or cold, so it is akin to a snow day. I finished Updike's last novel -- which was subtle and masterful-- and have now started one by Victor Pelevin and have a fearful, giddy hope that the hole in my heart left by D.F. Wallace's sudden, self-induced demise, may begin to begin to heal.

All to say, I'm laying in bed and reading and feeling fortunate as hell that I can. I do have an idea where I am going with next response and could get it together today if need be, but would rather light the fireplace, open a bottle of red wine and put some lamb stew on the stove... and then catch up on the other skirmishes.
