This is not a surprise as we all know for years since the invasion of Iraq that the Israeli lobbyist body in Washington wanted the invasion to extend into Iran with Cheney as their vocal supporter.

So it will only be expected that Israel may take matters into its own hands expecting US to follow their lead.

But alas the middle east is not about two nations, Iran and Israel and the repercussions will be of great peril indeed.

It does suck. Not only are we stuck in Iraq, now Israel is about to escalate the whole mess. I am a Christian but I do not think we have to do anything to bring about Gods plan; it will unfold as he ordains. I am praying for peace. For all peoples. As a nation we need to stop interfering in other sovereign nations business so much and fix this country. It seems like its too late. Mainly because we sold out our economy...

You are morally depraved and psychologically deranged if you honestly believe what you are saying.

I love it when someone says there is no good and evil except what one subjectively decides it to be,,

Then says words to that same effect telling him they are morally depraved if they believe their own subjective good and evil

Classic example of just why morality has no basis for good and evil without a standard to follow.

Just like the Bible says

I was honest, but those questions were not!

The video on the link I posted for you was pure truth, not the creative writing by word smiths trying to manipulate people into believing an untruth, like those on your links.

We'll just have to disagree, which is no problem for me.

You cant fool me. I've been to a few county fairs and a couple of goat ropings. Israel will not act without the United States in full accord. Now the main topic of this thread was the news that a scant few 80 percent of American Christians are aware of their sword duty to the LORD to support Israel. Now this has got to change.

Remember a single moment of understanding can flood a whole life with meaning. The one recent historical event that has forced the world, and theologians, to re-examine their suppositions concerning the Jews is the physical rebirth of the nation of Israel in 1948. It looked like an unexpected and unpredictable event. In fact it was a prophetic fulfilment.

"And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set His hand again the second time to recover the remnant of His people.. .and He shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth." (Isaiah 11:11)

"And I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel, and they shall build the waste cities and inhabit them...and I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, sayeth the Lord thy God." (Amos 9:14,15)

But the hostile spiritual principalities and powers, and the ungodly, be they individuals or nations, will resist the purposes and plan of God to the uttermost:

"For behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring back the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all nations and will bring them down into the Valley of Jehoshaphat; And I will enter into judgment with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, AND DIVIDED MY LAND." (Joel 4:1-3)

"And now many nations are assembled against thee, that say: 'Let her be defiled, and let our eye gaze upon Zion'. BUT THEY KNOW NOT THE THOUGHTS OF THE LORD, NEITHER UNDERSTAND THEY HIS COUNSEL..." (Michah 4:11-12)

Let us not be among the scoffers, unbelievers and those who neither know nor harken to the Word of the LORD. The rodeo's not over till the bull riders ride!

Son a wise person does at once, what a fool does at last. Both do the same thing; only at different times. It's high time you improved you reading skill Hooked on Phonics
The heart of a fool is in his mouth, but the mouth of the wise man is in his heart.

And the mouth of a zealot talks out of his.... *ahem*

Contrary to your self-righteous belief, quoting the bible doesn't make you a wise man. In fact, it proves quite the opposite. A wise man will think for himself and come to his own conclusion in life. Whether they are right or wrong won't matter as much as the fact that the wise man develops the ability to take what he sees and piece it together on his own.

You sir, have not done that. You've merely taken what you were spoon fed in Sunday school and spit it back out. In addition to your Bible quoting being the supreme opposite of wisdom, the hostility that you show towards other cultures is neither a sign of wisdom nor the teachings of your religion's founder. I imagine that it was spawned in your brain as your solution to being unable to accept the challenge to your world views that non-Christians tend to pose.

So what I'm suggesting here is that you have little room to talk about wisdom. Furthermore, your hateful and murderous xenophobic rhetoric shows that you should probably not be talking about anyone's heart - you apparently don't have one.

Carry on. :-)

Outstanding point. Shouldn't we be praying for our enemies too though?

To JTC:

If you are the Jack Chick who's tracts I grew up reading (and I remain skeptical despite your constant witticisms), I'm about as likely to change your mind as I am to cure the common cold. But I can't help wondering if you see the difference between 'spiritual Israel', and the modern nation state of that name. AIPAC practically runs our government now, and with funds we give Israel every year, to the tune of billions. Yet our government remains liberal no matter which republicRAT's are in power. Israel itself is very socialist, bans Christians from witnessing to others and harbors a homosexual community to shame San Francisco. Sodom must be feeling picked on just about now. I'm just wondering if you can't see the way that Israel is being used as the globalists #1 manipulative tool to bring about the global government described in scripture. Also, the seemingly engineered demise of the USA is nearing completion, something which should give Sodom some solace.

Well, that’s poorly written, but it’s late and I’m sleep deprived. Hope you got my points.

Most of the restoration prophecies regarding Israel were fulfilled when Israel was released from captivity n Babylon and allowed to return to their homeland.

An interesting prophesy in Ezekial shows that events taking place today in Modern day Israel are not in fullfillment of the restoration prophesies,

Consider Ezek. 37:21, 22, JP:

“Thus saith the Lord GOD: Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, whither they are gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land; and I will make them one nation in the land, upon the mountains of Israel, and one king shall be king to them all.”

Israel today is not a nation under a king of the royal line of David. Theirs is a republic.

Ths should be clear evidence that any restoration prophecies yet to take place are referring to Spiritual Israel.

Also Consider: Following the Babylonian exile, when Israel was restored to its land, the people were to restore true worship in their God-given land. One of the first projects undertaken was the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem.

However, since the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans in 70 C.E., the temple has never been rebuilt. Instead, in the former temple area stands an Islamic shrine. If the Jews, who say they are under the Mosaic Law, were today in Jerusalem as God’s chosen people, would not the temple devoted to his worship have been rebuilt?

JEsus himself said in MAt 21:43 regarding Israel's stand in Gods eyes:

? 43 This is why I say to YOU, The kingdom of God will be taken from YOU and be given to a nation producing its fruits.

Citizenship in that "Nation" is not limited to those who are Jews in the flesh, or even those who dwell in that locality, Rather it belongs to those who "Belong to Christ"

Gal. 3:27-29: “All of you who were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor freeman, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one person in union with Christ Jesus. Moreover, if you belong to Christ, you are really Abraham’s seed, heirs with reference to a promise.”
proving once again that from God’s standpoint, it is no longer natural descent from Abraham that determines who are Abraham’s seed.

Why bother? Israel has all the nuclear arsenal ANYONE would need to secure the WHOLE planet. And ZERO treaty obligations.
