We work with Aliens, they helped us on the hyperdrive. But really what's amazing is that the stealth bombers use cloaking tech recovered from the pyramids

One of the best lines..ever

thanks OP!

Yeah, depends on what you are doing. I'm a cook and depending on where I work, I could be given a TS clearance just to enter the facility( R&D,Embassy's etc...), it's not that I am privy to anything officially but the clearance gets me into the kitchen facility and I would be bound by the confidentiality clause( as cooks we can be privy to casual conversation by virtue of pretty well seeing/ intracting with almost all employees on a daily basis across the meal line lol sometimes handy for confirming or disspelling internal gossip or roumors lol). That would be the only reason I would ever get such a clearance, hence I could know things but have no proof other than heresay.

It's the same with Techs and Comms/Sigs. You may have TS clearance but never be privy to anything TS. Techs maintain equipment and software( just making sure it is working correctly) Comms/Sigs ppl transfer messages and their rank level determines whether they are needed or even allowed to read em( some of em can be nosey though lol).

The only thing I have seen delay a "military" clearance really is "Immigrant" status depending on where you immigrated from( former communist block countries etc....).

One of the significant facts, often overlooked, is that people who Really work at these supersecret govt facilities (such as the CIA, NSA, etc) are sort of spied-upon-for-life by the US govt. They have to sign an agreement when hired that not only will they keep the secrets unto death, but, because the govt doesn't really trust them, anything they write for publication (even cookbooks and porn novels) has to be vetted first by the agency to make sure that it doesn't even hint at something secret. There have been instances of people breaking this rule and the govt then scooping up all the printed copies and destroying them, without any compensation. There are ample rumors of people who got talkative getting arrested, sometimes framed for serious crimes, so they can be locked away to tell their tales to other people who aren't getting out.

The point being that, if someone says he used to work for a supersecret agency and will tell you stuff - or someone who works at one is blabbing to him, this is so nearly impossible to be true that you do well not to believe him.

This isnt true, I had to sign an NDA and nothing I have done has to be vetted through anyone, If you violate the NDA your in deep s@#5 but thats a choice one makes. I wont violate my NDA but u are making it into something its not

Ever working at General Motors engineering there is a lot of compartmentalization wayyy more than needed. we moved into a rented building for a SECRET project and only had one fax machine back in the mid 80's so e mail was not real big yet. I told someone that we all need to get together and talk because were working on the same problem and i found out because of a fax laying around. Nearly lost my job but it was better to keep 10 people in the dark than let them work together and bring the product to the market quicker. When the chewing out was done they asked if I understood I said yup and moved on a few weeks later to a company that brought the product to market first and GM never put it into production. Ford did by the way

Since it's on the market, can you say what the product was?

I like the sound of this thread, my life has been through hell and back due to Valor theives using what i suppos is hacked documents or an insider, using key points of my life and builty fantasy lands around it.

for example, i figued ok they got that part right, i will go ahead and tell my story since Obama and everyone else is comfortable with the way things are and im sorta left being tortured, left with only the terrorist type groups wanting me around, ohya that is what happens oh but that is another story.

not sure how to post videos here yet, i might not be socialy graceful for some, but please be pateint with me, i have been through allot, i dont react like a victim, i react like a soldier behind enemy lines, wounded and pissed.

just so ya know.

But there there are such facilities and jobs. Think of the computer card punchers that worked the Manhattan Project.

If you're talking whistle blowers, take a look at Phil Scheider. The guys an absolute crackpot and makes some of the most outrageous claims regarding secret US installations. Interestingly enough, it is commonly believed that he was killed by the government. All thats for sure is that he's dead.
www.youtube.com...

Think what you want but the guy just says ridiculous things like 100's of US military personell killed by an underground army of aliens in Dulce, NM, That the US government has known about UFO's and aliens since 1849 and a whole bunch of other stuff.

This secret facility business doesn't wash. No, don't get me wrong, I believe things were staged. The space program movies are prime example numero uno, but there are others. I think the AREA 51 business is a diversion, to direct attention away from the real facilities. Straightforward really.

Nice post - you either did your research really well or you're in the community.

Compartments don't get exciting names like "Black Hole Research" and "Warp Drive Technology Division." They get names like 882-8A, from which nothing can be derived, not even by the compartment that houses the database workers themselves. When a new project opens, a new number is issued to it. The database doesn't read "882-8A: Cloaking Systems", it's just "882-8A", along with its list of points of contact, its budget, and what requirements must be met to review any information coming out of this department.

Yeah, but. There are indices of what project numbers are what projects, at least at the level of vague description. The average Joe might not have access to it but they are there. Until it compartmentalizes, you can often find what a TS project is, where it's at, who the point of contact is, and occasionally who's assigned to it.

Where the fun comes in, is that if it goes SCI, the number will change, but often the POC and budget numbers do not, leading to an entertaining means of correlating what SCI compartments belong to what formerly TS project.

Grant you, they get edgy when you provide those correlations online, so I don't, although the data gained by that isn't good for much but satisfying curiosity about how big project z has gotten and what sort of money they're chucking at it these days. I might add using the same sort of trick you can get an idea of where they moved to if they up and vamoose, at least occasionally.

Each Compartment is given strict orders not to discuss their jobs, except in the vaguest of terms, like "Systems Engineer," or "Operations Analyst".

True. Some compartments are wider-ranging than others, though. Most guys work on one little aspect of a project. Where you tend to get a larger viewpoint is if you're either management or in a compartment that spans others. The one that is the most fun is when you are doing systems integration, as it's damned hard to figure out why things don't work together unless you know all about that set of things. Grant you, they'd still rather you didn't see the entire thing so you end up with crap you can't really do well, like spreading the guts of something all over the hangar floor in an attempt to replicate the error outside the customer equipment. I've only seen that work once. Being in some aspect of customer equipment operation generally also gets you a bit wider scope as it's damned hard to monitor something without knowing what the other bits do and how they'll interact.

Then you have what we call 'masters of the universe' that are scoped for the whole thing, but they're rare. Generally some sort of egghead or brass.

Something you missed - the nature of the talk in the break rooms is amusing to say the least. A couple of us did a thread on Fark years ago called 'the classified water cooler' where we were circumlocuting about a couple of fictitious projects in an exaggeration of the way you hear people talk when they're trying not to. "Hey, you know that project that Joe didn't make the cut for?" "The one downtown?" "Yeah, but we've got 20 buildings downtown.." "No #, I only knew about two" "Whoops" sort of thing. Hearing people trying to talk about stuff without talking about it is funny. As a second tier at such places, "I work for the USDA" was my line. Or "France, I come from France"

Other notes from reading other posts:

While SCI is a pain, I have been on TS projects where the management was more "Let's get in here and solve this damned problem, raise your right hand and say "I swear if I spill any of this then MARSOC will come to my house and kill my children" ok, get in there and get busy, we'll clean up the security paperwork as we go", and others where you couldn't piss without permission. Navy sucks, Marines and JSOC are more practical, IMHO.

People who work in "Secret Facilities" have yet to come online and post here at ATS a guide as to how to debunk those who claim to be from them from those who really have been. To do so would probably get them fired, arrested, fined, or imprisoned.

I can't see a debunking guide causing an issue. It's not going to ruffle a lot of feathers to ask something like, when you enter the main door of the NSA rotunda, what's to the left? Or "Where does the west exit at Benning take you" or the like. If you want to tick them off, there are plenty of ways that will get attention. I know a guy that posted a screen cap of his Intelink-s home page, that didn't go over well.

I have a family member that worked two years at the notorious area 51. I'm sorry report that he never seen anything that wasn't made right here in the good old USA, or other earthly location.

I am a believer in the UFO phenomenon, whoever our whatever they really are. I do however think that area 51 is a decoy. After all it's not really such a secret bases is it.

I have a feeling that many of the secret operations are occurring right under our noses. After all, if you wanted to hide a stolen car you wouldn't park it in the desert, you would park in a car lot. I have a feeling that the military facility were looking for is quietly located at the far corner of a well-known Air Force or other military base.

Just my opinion I could be wrong.

anyone that claims to have worked, or knows someone that works at 'area 51' watched a little too much x files.
groom lake however probably worked there, due confidentiality they dont leak.
