On a net group discussing ufo materials Barium was in 143 posts.
Mostly its high voltage and frequency as the way to anti gravity.
Its one of those closed groups and I only recall the posts in general.
It may be a high voltage isolator in between coil conductors.
I figure the coil is backed by an aluminum plate with the coil exposed
but perhaps covered.
I don't see the connection in Barium Titanate, a capacitor isn't my
approach to ufos.
I don't see painting the ufo then it chips off in flight.

One theory to anti gravity is with electrical frequency and voltage
energizing the cosmos (well air and whatever near earth) that
will then release the metal craft from the hold of momentum.
