This is amazing considering that the ancient indians of the ancient americas (atlantis?) could of carved this or even just having being a natural formation is still boggling.

Look at how proportionate the features are.

Everything lines up perfectly with a human face...

Where abouts was this sat image taken?

This is indeed very interesting, is there anythis else on info. about this certain place? Like its historical background, what sort of peoples lived there, etc.

Great job finding this OP, flagged.

IMHO its more than likly naturally made, i guess its another scenario where its all what your mind sees i guess. But still, good find.

amazing...well, as much as I'd like to say it has to be artificial, the thought that we ourseleves, our appearance, were crafted by nature is giving me pause. So I'm not surprised our likeness is reproduced by nature elsewhere.

That person in the picture looks like he/she is listening to ipod.

I've seen this before, and it is beautiful nonetheless.

Not so fast!

There are 4-5 gates and outposts I counted just leading to the road to the mountain. Whomever owns the land really doesn't want intruders!

Check this out!

i wonder if there is way to find out who owns it? if it is military or public/government owned

Apparently its called "the Badlands Guardian" and the tunnel feature you can see is an oil well?

The Badlands Guardian is a geomorphological feature located at 50.011, -110.113 near Medicine Hat in the south east corner of Alberta, Canada. Visible only from the air, this feature looks remarkably like a human head wearing a full native American headdress. It also appears to be wearing earphones.

The head is a drainage feature created by wind & water erosion on the soft clay rich soil. The arid Badland regions are typified by infrequent but intense rain-showers, sparse vegetation and soft sediments leading short periods of very fast erosion. The 'head' may have been created over a very short time period, following intense rainfall.

The apparent earphones are a road and an oil well, which has been in place only a few years, and will likely become invisible once it falls into disuse and its superficial features are eroded.

Amazing that natural rains and erosion can create something like that. Nice work chasing that down IMAdamnALIEN.

Hmmm I wonder If the Canadian Forces Base Suffield has anything to do with it?

Located 50 km north of medicine hat, hmm how conveniently close to this mysterious formation with what looks like a tunnel.

I wonder if this should be put in the Alien UFO section.... This is getting creepy!

not much equpment on site for an "oil well" not like the ones that dot texas anyway...an oil well just isn't a hole in the ground...anyways..cool picture.

I dare say it's more than natural... SUPERNATURAL would be more the term for it.

I'm entertaining the notion that such landscapes like this are created by those same unseen beings responsible for those real crop circles out there.. and maybe even some of those remarkable faces that we are seeing on the planet Mars.

This one is really AMAZING! As someone said before, the features of that face are too much in proportion to rule out that some kind of "intelligence" is responsible for the creation of it. And it even LOOKs like an Am. Indian.. ie the high cheekbones, the aquiline nose etc.. especially with that head-dress of feather's blowing in the wind. It's mind boggling!

It's also very 'stylistic' looking... a work of art.
Great find -- flag for this one!
