New Trolling Policy Against Rickrolling

There is a new form of trolling that has been plaguing the internet and ATS lately and will not be tolerated. This form of trolling is called Rickrolling, and is extremely sinister.

In response to this, ATS has a new policy regarding this new trolling. Until it is curbed, moderator actions will be swift and severe. It is highly recommended you read the policy below:

Somebody thinks he's funny. The sad thing is that's the THIRD TIME he's gotten me to click a link to that blasted video.

I don't think this policy is official guys, but I am still going to unilaterally bust a cap in the next person who posts a link to that video.

OK, for anyone who doesn't know what is going on, rickrolling is the act of making someone click on a video link to Rick Astley by making them think it's something else. It's been an internet meme for ages now, I thought everyone had got bored of it already...

Yep, that's what the OP did.

To explain for the average ATS'r on here like myself who might be wondering what jungle jake and the other mods mean by 'rickrolling',
it is the posting of a link, often in response to a question or as a link in a 'look at this' type of post etc.
The link then opens a hugely irritating and anger inducing music video
such as Rick Astley's wondrous 80's hit above and often is accompanied by a
special program (for want of a better techie phrase) which continually moves the video around your screen making it virtually impossible to click out of as you can't get your mouse on the closing red x. I have seen it done with porn also, the idea often being that you will open it at work and then have to switch off your monitor or unplug your pc to get the damn thing off your screen before anyone hears or sees what you've been tricked into watching.
I'm all for a prank and have a sense of humour (see my avatar ) but
this really does make you want to find the poster and punch their lights out.
Anyway now ya know!

I deserved it cmdr. A while back I tricked most of the staff into putting skeptic overlord on their foe list. I've been wondering when it would be my turn to cry.

Oh, yeah... Doing that was almost as bad as when I did this. I don't have access to Cosmic any longer, but I'm pretty sure that was the thread.
