I am a reggae fan.

I love the older reggae though..and Rude Boy, rock-steady era is one of my favorites. I love Bob of course, but also Peter Tosh, Jimmy Cliff, Burning Spear, etc.... I dont really get into much of the contemporary stuff of today.

Some of Marley's kid's work is pretty good though..from Ziggy and Stephen Marley mostly.
I used to play alot of Reggae in my band(when I was in one) but now I just play most of it on my accoustic guitar.

I LOVE dancehall. It's so very naughty, with such great rhythms.

There's a track on one of the compilation CDs I have, that cracks me up every time. Picture This by Vybz Kartel. One of my friends was listening to it for the first time, and she turned to me slightly shocked, and said, "They really spell it all out for you, don't they?"

I read somewhere that Jamaica produces more records every year than the whole rest of the world put together.

You have to wonder where they get they get all that energy.

Dub Reggae is my No.1, Dancehall No.2. Not so much into the roots & culture stuff, more into the fun.
