I wouldn't say thet forgot about us as much as they are just too tired and sore to move to do anything about it.

We shot the video, it's even half decent BUT the camera Johnny Anonymous has refused to "work with" my notebook, we spent an hour trying to download converters and nothing worked.

Johnny promises he is going to upload it today or tomorrow (we ARE exhausted and Dave and I still have a full day of travel ahead of us) and S.O. will get a link up so everyone who wants to can view it.

With any luck at all we'll have LOTS of audio and video up by Wednesday that should chronicle this incredible trip and the Expo.

Quite possible,

After a couple of days at the conference,

Imagine this,

A few bottles of makers,

A few stories,

A hearty, "Yeah Let's Do It!!!!, ROAD TRIP!!!"

A few hours later.....

"shhhhh, be careful they have all kinds of ground sensing devices and cameras are everywhere."

"oops, DAVE!! where you going DAVE!!!"

[sirens]

[sounds of rounds being chambered]

"HALT!"

"You are all under arrest!"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hmmm could it be that the boys, (at John Lear's urging), took a trip to......

AREA 51?

If so, they should make bail and be able to update us on the festivities, unless the documents were seized.....

Feasible?

When you land at OKC, you'll be 3 miles from where I sit at this very moment.

Gary Busey got thrown out for being a drunken idiot on the first night, from what I hear. He inappropriately grabbed some girl and was escorted off the premises.

So much for rehab.

Well, darn it. I wish he'd a buckled up for at least a few hours so that the guys could have gotten an interview with him. He's one of my favorite nuts...cracks me up every time he talks.

Figures. I u2ud Dave before the event to ask him to be sure and get an interview with Busey. So naturally... he goes all Busey and gets tossed. Too bad. It would've been hysterical.

Wotta character.

I think everyone would have been...

Very disappointed... Gary looked like Hell at 3:00 pm in the lobby (where he hung out until at least 6:00 pm... He was so ragged and scruffy no one was approaching him or talking to him. He appeared to be in a daze... I doubt anyone would have gotten a cogent interview with him... It was sad to see him in such a condition.

C'mon MM, what cool and interesting stuff happened after I was forced to leave? I just KNOW I missed something significant because I had to take off at 4:00.

Ever find your coca-cola?

Hey Guys... Just got back into town... I'm attempting to get the video reduced in size and get the audio track which seems to be playing havoc with me (I swear half the time I felt Dave and I were getting shot with beams of something, and no I don't mean by Jim Beam's). So once I get it squared away I'll get it uploaded.

Side-note....

On the way back I decided to take a jaunt up to the Lick Observatory (took lots of pictures). I was on a mission (and perhaps a homage' for John Lear too) to see if I could look in their photo archives. And I should probably stop here and go with a new thread on what happened... I'll just add that I wasn't the only one at the Expo that showed up, and we did discover something.. NUFF SAID for now.. Back to the Video...!

Alas... While it was fun, and dare I say interesting nothing rose to the level of the previous night's events. I had to leave at about 6:30 pm to head back to Stockton, followed by an early Sunday morning departure for Salt Lake City.

Johnny finally did track down a Coke for me... The sugar and caffeine were most welcome.

I hope that in the future more ATS members make an effort to attend events like this.

I don't believe G was drunk, there as no mention of alcohol but the crew did have a picture of him up on the easle outside the "after party" room with one word written as a caption under it...

"OUTSTANDING!"

Poor Victoria Jack (an incredible LADY!) she had enough to deal with and did NOT need that stupidity.

I should mention that it is 2:45am, I just got home about 25 minutes ago, Dave and I were diverted to San Antonio because Bush International Airport was SHUT DOWN (they claim because of thunder storms) so we couldn't land and we were LOW on fuel. 6.5 hours on a PACKED airplane is NOT the best place to be when you are BEAT from 3 days of "foot work".

If I were a speculative man I might draw inappropriate conclusions here about UFO Expos and the USG.

Well I've got a few pics I'll be sharing with you all.

Here's one where Dave explains that the "Pink Caddy" we bought as an advertising
promotion with Springer's Credit card can't be returned back to the dealership.

Ahem... Anyone interested in a classic 1976 pink Cadillac with the
AboveTopSecret Logo plastered all over it?

All and all sounds like it was a pretty good PR/info gathering misson, cant wait to see more pics and video, thats funny about the converters lol can tell you how craptastic it is to not be able to convert .m4p or .bat or .wut lol but thank GOD for Open Source!

Anywho, Post DEM pics! I demand entertainment!
