We just got our first hybrid an 07 Honda Civic

We are getting about 41 mpg combined right now. A far cry from the mpg on the sticker but good none the less.

Who else has one out there?

Really? This is combined driving and heavy in the city. When we have been exclusive highway driving at 55-60 we are seeing 51-52 on flat roads

That was highway driving, like from ABQ to Shreveport, LA, or to Colorado Springs.

I might add that I have a heavy foot and that figure is probably rounded up a bit, but I've definitely seen better than 39.

City driving was 34 or better.

Heres a photo of my "hybrid". It gets 15 on the highway, less in town.

Well, I have two hybrids. I haven't "driven" them, yet, but I used one today to get my self out of the rough.

Who has a Hybrid Thread

I do. I have a hybrid thread. (actually several different colors
)I have seen and used it many times, for things like replacing missing buttons. And once I had an old pair of comfortable jeans that had developed holes in the knees. I used the hybrid variety of thread 50% cotton/50% Polyester, to sew a patch onto both knees. And even though the jeans were not new by any means, in fact they were several yesrs old, but very comfortably fitting - so I didn't want to throw them away just yet.

I even have some high quality BTS thread:

Oh, darn. I just saw the context of the opening post. This is about hybrid cars, not hybrid thread.

If thats the case, than no - don't have one. But looking to own an electric car some time in the future, when the tesla comes down in price.

all I can think about is the Smugness Alert episode of South Park

where everyone starts becoming so smug, cuz they have a hybrid.

"hi i drive a hybrid to save the enviroment k thanks bye"

as they pass ppl

infact

they become so smug they sniff their own farts.

and a Super Smugness Cloud envelopes southpark

it was great.

I just bought a Prius last week, I averaged 51 mpg for the first 500+ miles.

And I smell my own farts.
