Again, another school shooting.

It seems like a regular event now. Not sure what the case is with this paticular shooting, but apparently one of the gunman are still loose on campus.

Not a good situation to be for the people living on campus.

Its a wee bit confusing.

One article states two gunman at different ends of the University, with multiple casualties, and another ( as I interpret it ) is saying it is the same gunman, as they gave the all clear after apprehending him at the other location.

Not sure if someone is still on the loose or if it is the same guy.

we had one school shooting in the United Kingdom, back in 1996...we have a right to bear arms under our Bill of Rights 1689...but you what we did? restricted the sell of firearms and even banned certain types. No school shooting since.

Yes, we do have a gun problem still with gangs, but we are putting more tougher laws through Parliament.

Thats what I don't understand about the United States, you can still keep "the right to bear arms", but restrictions should be put in place to protect certain people.

Oh this is terrible

My thoughts are with all the familys,

I've been watching it on MSNBC all morning. Now they are saying at least 20 dead, at least 28 wounded and they shooter was killed as well.

The killer is thought to be a young Asian man who walked in carry weapons, or some time of vest that held them,

Didn't see it in the thead but this is happening in Blacksburg, Virginia on the campus of Virginia Tech, just posting for those who might not have access to the TV news.

About an hour from my location, the story is fluid and details are changing by the minute.

I would be HIGHLY surprised if America now doesn't adopt tougher gun laws.

In the United Kingdom, in 2005/2006 50 people were killed by gun violence. It fell from a third, 78 to 50.

How can he get access to that amount of weapons?

I fail to understand it. Thats all.

My prayers are with the families and the victims.

infinite- supposedly hunting is a big thing in that area, So it seems not unusual to see that amount of weapons

Reported the first incident around 0730hrs,

second incident 2hrs later.

Police chief said the 2 incidents were not related, but it is early and the chief definitely looked taken aback so I would expect this story to take a some turns in the first few hours.

Is the shooter dead or is he in custody? Fox says he's in custody.

There's no use in adopting tougher gun laws because whackos will still get their hands on them.

Get a conceal carry permit and then you can just whack the guy out legally.

They still may be looking for a possible 2nd shooter, but that could just be rumour mill,
