Thanks, if you want to show your support, just put a five star rating on a couple of posts.

I do wonder at how that area works, it doesn't seem to be a continuous fault line.

Hi fable & Apex
I have been checking this increase of activity at the Azores too.

Fogo Volcano is located here: see image

The Cape is situated on the Atlantic Ocean, about 600 km. from the Coast of Senegal.

I would say they have been many quakes close or closer to the Iberian Penninsula
Instituto de Geografía Nacional

We should not forget the 1755 Lisbon Earthquake

1755 Lisbon earthquake, also known as the Great Lisbon Earthquake, took place on November 1, 1755, at 9:40 in the morning. It was one of the most destructive and deadly earthquakes in history, killing between 60,000 and 100,000 people (though the exact number is uncertain). The earthquake was followed by a tsunami and fire, resulting in the near-total destruction of Lisbon

As mentioned by Apex, I think we should keep an eye on these quakes.

Magnitude 5.2 - SOUTH SANDWICH ISLANDS REGION

Of course, there were 8 quakes last Tuesday, and 2 of them were magnitude 6. As were two others in the last week, but the number still seems low.
