It goes into extra innings as it always does when tied.

It is pretty rare, but when Bagwell and Sosa are playing you never know.

Wow, the Cubs beat the Astros 1-0 in the 16th inning! Unfortunately for TRD, Bagwell was 0-1 in a pinch-hitting appearance. Then again nyeff's boy Kent went o for 7 with 3 K's.

Alot of rainouts around the league tonight.

Jeff Bagwell, who'd missed just one of the Astros' first 55 games, was given the day off Saturday to rest but lined into a double play in the 10th as a pinch-hitter. Bagwell hasn't homered since May 5.

Curt Schilling is not expected to miss his next start, despite being hit twice on his right hand by comebackers on Friday, according to the AP. He was diagnosed with a bone bruise and admitted it felt worse on Saturday. "Some of the swelling is still there," Schilling said. "But I don't expect this to stop me from being out there."

Eric Chavez (3B) Oak took Saturday off, as the A's were facing left-hander Darrell May. Chavez is hitting 5-for-59 against lefties this season, the worst average in the majors.

Nyeff, Chavez your cousin? :bounce::tum: J/K

- Mike Lowell (3B) Fla was out of the starting lineup on Sunday for the first time this season. The Marlins wanted to give him a day of rest.

- Andruw Jones (OF) Atl will not be in the Braves' starting lineup on Sunday because of a hyperextended left knee.

- The Dodgers have had discussions with the Marlins about acquiring Mike Lowell (3B) Fla, according to the LA Times. The team believes another strong bat in the middle of the order would enable them to catch the Giants in the NL West.
