I think many people have moved on from trying to capture anything with an IR camera.. The interest doesn't seem to be there like it was at one time.. Too Bad.. as I think it's a fascinating way in trying to capture an event.. Maybe you can help keep the thread alive since your considering purchasing a camera and IR filter.. You can keep us updated with what you have (or haven't) seen..

I'll try and make some time myself to get back out into the field with my cameras..

Im surprised that no ones has mention hyperspectral scanners or cameras.
