Whats the big deal with mr english class. We're reading a book and it has the word 'masturbation' in it acouple times and the teacher freaks out when read it, and she tries to make us censor it out. So today i used a red sharpie... it didn't do any thing and it makes the word stand out more. She needs to get over it i mean hey if your gonna read a book read it all the way through.

So what are other words often seen as taboo if spooken aloud?

One comment seems to have dismissed this rather off-handedly with the succinct response that masturbation is a sin.
I doubt that holds for Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, Pagans, Athiests. Is it the Judeo/Christian world that is solely inflicted with this restriction?

Another possibility is to sit on your hand to make it fall asleep. Then afterwards you can pretend that it's not your own hand...
