I believe we are free to think whatever we want to, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone. And as long as we can distinguish between fantasy and reality, and keep our feet on the ground. No one shall tell me what to think or not to think. No one shall dictate to me what I am allowed to think or not to think. I am a free individual and I can think for myself, using my own brain. If we give up our free will and the right to think for ourselves, it will help people like Hitler get to power. Thinking about "sin" is not a sin. There is no sinful thinking. Sin can only be applied to action or lack of action. Those who try to control/limit your thinking have an agenda. That was my two cents on the guilt/sin issue...

Don't shave, it'll only grow back tougher!!

Use Imac or another hair removing cream....so I've heard anyway

As for "thinking about sin is a sin". Actually, it isn't. I am aware that the bible does state that. Something along the lines of thinking about it isn't a sin, as it comes down to choice. You can make a choice about wether or not to commit the "sin". Only then, once you have done it, does it become one.

Not that I am religious ( a religion is a mass control device). Personally, I believe in an afterlife, but not of the (incorrect and misguided) heaven and hell, God and Devil view.

If I die and DO actually find myself in front of a God, I am going to kick him square in the nuts and ask for my money back. This crap just isn't funny and if he was so omnipotent, then why does he not do anything about all the bad stuff in the world? Also, why must he be worshipped? Has he got some sort of inferioty complex and needs the re-assurance of others that he is almighty?

Me and him are going to have words, me thinks.

Tossing one off. I think that is funny. And to all the people that like to take quotes from the bible out of context, please stop. If you truly wanted you could take bits and pieces of it and justify anything.

Exactly.... Apparently, I can stone my wife (if I had one) for all manner of things. Even having sexual relations with her during that time of the month is a sin.

Besides, alot of the so called sins are made up by the Catholic Church to attempt to play a guilt trip on people so they stick with the religion out of fear.

Also, Crisitianity is but one religion and it sickens me to have Christians attempt to force their (prudish, boring, deranged, half-arsed) ideas on me, when if you look at it as if there was a God, he gave us free choice for a reason, hence I have my own beliefs.

Not being able to exercise it and not experience life to the full is waste and completely pointless. I don't think any God who gave his creations such power would then expect them to waste it.

I admit I masturbate all the time, it's great stress relief and a 100% normal, monkies even do it!

As for Onanism, i'd probably have to stone my wife and start dating my best friend since she has not produced a baby after so many tries, so much for christian religion!

The evil being that Yaweh is doesn't want us to become gods, we can all become gods when we leave this life, we are all equal beings that were once one collective being, we are all the same, only experience makes us grow but this is my own..."theory" since there is no scientific base for what i'm saying, it's simply my speculation and possibly my inner wisdom...

Also, if the Bible is correct, i'm going to hell, and since Satan is already my best friend, I think I will not be burned forever but instead i'll be on his side...

OK - so 'lustful thoughts' are a sin, and since you think them while masturbating, it MUST be a sin then.

OK, I have a question. If it's not a sin then what do you think of while making sweet love to your wife/husband? Are those not lustful thoughts? are you thinking of baking a cake or doing your taxes or putting the trash out on the curb while making holy-matrimonial love?

To anyone that says "it's OK to think lustful thoughts when making love as long as your married" . . . WHY? Why would it only be OK then? Where is this User's Guide that tells me what's OK to think? And don't say "the Bible is your user's guide" - As soon as the Bible stops reading like Stereo Instructions written by the Japanese and translated into Sanskrit by an ancient Egyptian and then into English by President Bush, then maybe it will have some real life experience credibility.

Anyone that tells you that private (or mutual) masturbation is a sin, is only trying to use guilt to control you - to break your spirit and make you feel bad about yourself so they can tell you what's OK to think and do in the privacy of your own home. These people will say and do anything to exert control over you and be the "thought police" that they "think you need" just because they were raised by parents/culture that did the same thing to them.

If it's not hurting anyone else, physically or emotionally, then why be so uptight about it?

If you think it's a sin . . . DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you don't think it's a sin . . . HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Besides, someone's got to keep the personal lubrication people in business.
