I think part of it is to do with the knots in the wood on the boarded up window. Three of them appear to make up two eyes and a mouth.

Unless there is something else that I'm not seeing ?

The general effect looks to me to be speckled light through the trees. It can change very quickly and even a slight movement will take the reflection away from the camara face.

The fact that Springers health is not that great may also be a factor in them being attracted to him. Watching over him possibly.

I wasn't exactly meaning the ecto was moving in his direction straight on, but, it was moving away from the house (he was outside, it was coming from the house in his GENERAL direction).

I must apologize, I am not great at putting thoughts into words all the time. Especially lately, much going on in my life and all.

OK, after upping the contrast and intensity....with no photo shop touch ups, here's what I see in the up stairs window....this is the photo without the 'ecto'....and, sure it may be reflections from the trees....

but, to me, it is somewhat similar to the image in the upper right of the 'ecto' in this photo.....

I intensified and converted it to grayscale....making it more visible to me.

The 'ecto' seems to stream from the lower floor window, ( the brightest smear of 'energy' or light ) rather than come from the up stairs window where I see the other 'image'....so there might be no connection. ( of course, if the image in the upper window is only tree reflections, there wouldn't be...)

It's almost like it wanted to pose for Springer's camera.....

Hi Val
Boy it’s been a long time since I last posted. This thread ist just so interesting.
You have documented this very well. An example to other ATSers of how things should be done.

Originally posted by they see ALL
well, from my knowledge of ghosts (watching ghost shows and etc...)

i have NEVER heard of a ghost (or other thing) actually copy a person's (your's for example) voice...

either your son and his friend were mistaken or this is ghost or thing COULD copy YOUR voice BUT WHY???

this is crazy...

copying a person's voice!?!?!?

i will read this thread later...

As a kid I also use to ear voices, sometimes my mother or other women in my family. Sometimes a voice that I had never heard before or heard again after it stopped. But they were always female.

I can only explain it this way, when we are on this board we all speak the written language. We can only communicate with letters and only with the letter we know. To you this letters sound like whatever you read the as. Probably with what I call the inner voice.
Now if a ghost calls you i might be like this only on a mental plane. He sends you the info but your brain adds the sound. So your subconscious probably adds the voice your most used to. Your mother, father, wife... My 2 cents

Hi Valhall -

Nice to meet you. I've been so intrigued by this post - rivited I guess you might say. Here's hoping all is going well for you and your family.

I noticed something when your originally posted the pics Springer took of the front of the house - kind of like Frayed1 - although I saw TWO faces/figures...the small one, like Frayed1 showed us but then a taller one above the small one - towards the upper left of the window. After seeing Frayed1's grayscale photo of your daughter's window, I looked to the left of the window (to the plywood window, if you will). Now, maybe it's just me, and maybe it isn't - but it looks like I see something in the 'plywood window' - or rather ON the plywood....does anyone else see anything or is it just distortion?

This is the one that jumps out at me from the right side of the pic:

In this one I have taken the high contrast pic and went to full saturation on green. The above "thing" shows up very well in it.

Maybe some one could take the original pic and take the negative and post it. I don't have photoshop at home, so I can't do it.

How's this.....it's the inverted grayscale....close as I can get to a negative.

[edit on 27-8-2005 by frayed1]

And I do see the 'face' in the plywood.....I have some of those around my house too....but I never get any 'ecto' in any of my photos....even at the old house..."sigh". ( I will just have to continue suffering from 'ecto envy'..lol )

Can you do the very same thing to the second pic and see if that shows up in the plywood on that one as well?

This is also an invert of the grayscale.....not quite what a color negative would look like, but close to a b/w neg.

Okay, frayed, you've managed to officially freak me out on that one.

Interesting point...the position of the window hole which has the plywood over is where the original window of the house was located. Compare below:

Yeah, me too.....the freakier one was on the photo with the ecto....it showed more of an image than did the clear shot that Springer took after the 'unfocused' shot......also interesting that it was the original window.....gonna take a closer look at that old photo.......

Which brings to mind....when you took out that window and cut the opening for the new one, was there an opening of any size between the inside and outside walls?

In my old house, for instance, there is some empty space, where something might be hidden (or insulation should be added). Some houses of that time were insulated, especially in colder climates, and if there had been previous renovation, some might have been added then. Find anything?

OK, I did a bit more changing on the intensity, brightness, and contrast and uninverted the photo with the 'clutter' on the plywood....trying to see if anything else would 'pop out' of the plywood.....but I wound up with this:

opps...let me try that again....I lapped the lower one over the other, because the image in the plywood was beginning to look like a female nude!

Yes, it's framed out walls, so there is the space between outside and inside wall. Also, from the "opening" that is currently exposed inside the room you can see into the "roof" of the porch. Before we place the second window, I will take a pole or something and investigate that space as closely as I can. I can't crawl back in there because there really isn't adequate support above the ceiling of the porch, so I'd probably fall through...but I'll take a flashlight and poke around as best I can.

Here is a marked pic where I have tried to draw a "line of sight" on the image in the plywood. I basically started at the "left eye" and drew it to where it also crossed the "right eye" and kept extending it. It appears to be looking at the widow's watch.

I think I need to go up there and look around.

Send Springer up there with the camera.....perhaps the 'ecto' will pose for him again!

err, could someone show me how to insert an image in a post if its just in a file and not hosted on a site?

Valhall, Greetings.

It's obvious you have disturbed some jealous beings, i.e. myself and many others, looking at what a beautiful home you have!

I'm aware that through the duration of this you have received much advice, insights, etc. I'm also aware that it had been a mix of, how can I say, spiritual orientations. I believe that many posting to you have done so with the intent of being helpful to you. I respect those positions. I have just felt compelled to extend to you blessings on you and your house, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I wish for you the protection of Psalm 91-

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him will I trust."
Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler
and from the perilous pestilence.
He shall cover you with His feathers
And under His wings you shall take refuge.
His truth shall be your shield and buckler
You shall not be afraid of the terror by night
Nor of the arrow that flies by day
Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday
...Because you have made the Lord...your habitation,
No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall ANY plague come near your dwelling;
For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways...

I'm not preaching, nor starting a "holy war". Just wanted to bless you through this ordeal. I don't know what is in your house or what it will take to get rid of it. I hope it/they will leave and leave you and your family in peace to enjoy your home. I would believe from reading your posts that you are a spiritual person so I know you don't need anything from me. Just thought that maybe some "positive vibes" couldn't hurt. Wish you all the best.

May the Lord bless you and keep you
The Lord make his face to shine upon you
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up His countenance to you
And give you peace.

Number 7:24-26. NKJV.

Okay, I went up into the widow's watch. I did find some things. Nothing real exciting as far as I can tell at first glance.

Widow's watch:

First item:

a little toy horse. Note in this picture that on the right hand side you can see where the floor boards have been pulled up. I found the horse in that space. This is also where I found...

Second item:

an old pen.

Third item:

This shot is taken while I'm standing on a step stool and looking up on top of the fake ceiling in the widow's watch. That's a Daily Oklahoman newspaper dated May 22, 1952. Here are some more pics:

I can't find anything that is about some one in our town in this section of this newspaper. But the entire paper is not here, of course. One interesting article is about a tin container of enough potassium cyanide to kill 200 people being stolen in Glascow, Scotland.

I'm going to do some research on the date and see if anything connects.

Okay, I attempted to bring you a video from the attic, but all I got was a red dot and a hyperactive goober with a flashlight. Think of this as SAPS...
