I actually met a Guardian Angel in the subway tunnel entrance in the early '80s on a trip to New York as we were making our way deeper into the subway - he was on his bicycle and told us we had better get out of there right away because the subway closed early there, where the subway did not close early from where we came from - tourist mistake - he probably saved us from who knows what.

I met a leader of the Guardian Angels in 1979 named Curtis Sleewa. Mayor David Dinkins was like Joe Biden is today. Crime lover.

The entire male side of my mother's family is/was NYPD. Fathers and sons, 6 of them.

To a person, they all said he was a non-factor and a mediocre police officer.

And they were predisposed to like him too.

What does that tell you?

Federal police is the goal. Staffed by illegals who have no ties to the community, come from countries where it's totally normal for police to extort and murder civilians, and won't think twice about killing or trying to disarm Americans.

He was originally a transit cop. Then became an NYPD recruit and eventually became captain.

Nowadays he LIVES IN NEW JERSEY and wouldn't dare take mass transit.

They used to carry M4 rifles. Now they have to carry pistols only. And those pistols are only allowed to used on white supremacists. Not minorities wielding illegal firearms.

Overall the subways are safe compared to the 1980's and early 90's. Those days were real rugged.

But the subways of 2024 are noticeably more dangerous than 2015 or even 2019.

There's a number of factors involved but they all find their roots in progressive stupidity. Covid allowed for the homeless to get very comfy in the subways. In the past a homeless person wasn't allowed to take up half of a subway car laying across an entire bench with their putrid bags of belongings scattered everywhere. And because of the George Floyd holocaust, cops won't say a word to the homeless. Even if they're screaming threats and brandishing weapons.

I think posse comitatus only applies to federal troops. I think NG, under state control, can legally engage in law enforcement activities with their home state.
