I just don't get what it proves or achieves.

It's not like everyone will choose to see what he did and say ok lets us come to our senses and stop killing one another.

As to brought to tears, I imagine the poor sod had a few of his own under all those flames.

This was a poor sad little mentally ill kid. A 25-year-old’s mind is still developing, and has almost no practical life experience.

He was killed by several people who encouraged him to do this, and ghoulishly watched him with satisfaction. Yay, look how we got somebody to do something horrible to themselves in the name of our agenda.

He was filmed and interviewed/ accompanied by somebody, and stuff was posted to the internet afterwards. I’m guessing it involved more than one person.

Just because a person had protested through self-emollition, doesn't mean that its all cut and dry.

My father was a New York City Firefighter (FDNY).

According to him and many others, burning to death is one of the most painful ways to die.

For no other reason than that I feel for this guy. He must have really been mentally tortured to do that to himself.

I served for 22 years. Didn’t burn myself or anybody else. Never was involved in goose-stepping. Knew only a couple “mental psychos”.

Everybody who serves knows there is some BS in the big picture. But you’re in there in case we really get attacked, and to serve / protect your fellow GI’s
