Can you please clarify the short story length? How many words exactly? This is my first time at this.

"This is a 'SHORT STORY' Contest. Stories that run past the OP are accepted but no points given for additional posts. "

The word count is not an issue. If the story can fit in a single post then that would be fine. If it over runs and you have to add a second post then it's still ok, but any stars given in the extra posts won't count.

For the sake of science, I did some research and tests for the first contest I entered and the result was that the total character count (including spaces) that will fit in a single post is around 7,500.

"The End" you need to add at the end of your story doesn't count. It's not so important for normal contests, more so for the 100 word limit one we did.

I used M$ Word for writing which gives you the stats as you type. Otherwise, there are loads of online resources... try this one: www.charactercountonline.com...

This is an unusual request. I don't even know if it is allowed. Do you mean that it could go against ATS rules, terms and conditions? Or too risqué or some other taboo topic?

Let's see what the Moderators say. If it's OK, I could have a look if you like.

Otherwise, just roll the dice and post it. The worst that can happen is that it will be removed.
