I read the article. Stefanik left a large gap in the narrative she was trying to weave. A gap where all of Trump's responsibility falls.

They didn't have them, then Trump turned over the Fifteen Boxes, at which time they discovered classified documents that were improperly stored.

They called the DOJ because classified documents were being improperly stored.

They originally reached out to Trump because they noticed the letters were missing.

More of your bovine feces dejour.

Something about put a lock on it…….

It's being reported that Trump will be indicted as soon as tomorrow for espionage and obstruction and that Meadows will plead guilty to lessor crimes in exchange for limited immunity. Independent

That was after they had subpoenaed to Trump. Investigators were only allowed to recover the documents with classified markings Trump's lawyers had prepared for them. They knew Trump still had government records so they told them to put a lock on the storage locker until they received further instructions.

They didn't know that Trump still had classified records until someone (probably Mark Meadows) tipped them off. That's when the search warrant was issued because Trump showed he was unable and unwilling to comply with a court order.

They knew he still had government documents as at that time the court was only ordering that Trump turn over documents with classified markings. They didn't know he so flagrantly disobeyed that subpoena.

The use of Section 793, which does not make reference to classified information, is understood to be a strategic decision by prosecutors that has been made to short-circuit Mr Trump’s ability to claim that he used his authority as president to declassify documents he removed from the White House and kept at his Palm Beach, Florida property long after his term expired on 20 January 2021.

From the Independent. ^^^^^^

So....this is not about Classified information? I thought that was the whole issue?

Assuming the vote occurs tomorrow, that means we'll possibly get confirmation as soon as Friday when the judge unseals the indictment.

That timeline certainly fits the standard SOP of dropping major news on a Friday afternoon.

I'm definitely going to be interested in hearing how long Meadows has been cooperating and whether or not he was the informant that led to the search warrant.

It was about pages of classified docs found in boxes returned, then the request for all classified marked docs, then the refusal to return them. Then a subpoena for them. Then lying on the attestation, moving and hiding them. Then subpoena for surveillance video. Then a search. Then evidence leading to obstruction and sharing of natsec info with those not cleared. Hence charges.

It's about information that could jeopardize the national defense if it fell into the wrong hands. Generally, that information is what we consider to be classified. However, the Espionage Act makes no specification regarding a documents classification status. If you show national defense information to the wrong person you've violated the Espionage Act even if you're a former President claiming you declassified the document even though you don't have any kind of record of doing so.

Guys are still not reading or understanding what they are even trying to charge him with. Section 793 has nothing to do with classified info. Pay attention.

But just still keep repeating the SSDD.

That actually undermines the bs raid search warrant even more.

Guess he just should have returned the marked docs as requested, but nope, he had to lie and hide them, obstruction. Then the investigation into him hiding them, led to espionage. The stable genius led to his own problems.
