All I know about this incident I read in this article. I will say however, I used one for a couple hours one day and during my introduction it told me about the boundary and to keep my boundary on.

It really is a big thing, if you are a girl or a woman.

My boys played With my husband’s clan since the first COD game. They grew up with all the dads playing and learned how not to be @ss bites online. And the other dads boys did too. As parents, we loved the safe space.

Now my daughter learned to play with them, and play with her brothers and on her own. She is now 22, and plays Apex and totally rocks. But, and there always is a but… the crap she runs across, it’s kind of frightening. The things people say to her, some examples are
“ I hope you get raped”
“you must me a dike”
and
“shouldn’t you be blowing someone right now”.

Now this is a girl full of my sass and can trash talk with the best of them… but does that make it acceptable to be told that they hope she gets raped!? No it does not! And if girls and women are treated this way on a gaming platform, it sadly does not surprise me of meta rape.
