Having your troops or their dependents sick with preventable diseases

So vaccines prevent you from getting the disease?

I thought they were to keep you out of the hospital?

Im so confused

If these "vaxs" dont prevent you from getting the disease than there is no point on issuing global mandates, passports with these vaxs that could possibly cause serious health complications.

I'm sure the highly skilled recruits are waiting to serve under a legitimate president. No one in their right mind would serve under a braindead child sniffer.

I might not agree with your phrasing but from what I see you hit on one side of the equation. For people that are familiar with military recruiting they can tell you that’s easier to recruit when POTUS is Republican rather than democrat. Also is better for military recruiting when the economy is bad rather than good.

Right now is plenty wrong with military recruiting… kids are afraid of vaccine mandates… kids from red states don’t want to join under a Democrat POTUS (this is normal though) and a lot of job openings on the civilians side.

Military readiness will be fine… it has a least 2 years to catch up to future needs but if this trend continues you will hear alarm bells from the Pentagon as soon as this summer.

They are currently asking to be let back in and to become citizens, as was promised.

All they need to do is go to Mexico and come in from that border. We are giving away the farm to any and all who wish to come. No strings! Open borders is a beautiful thing.

LOL, oh ... recruitment down under a Democrat POTUS.

Sure.

Sounds just as likely an explanation as the excuses provided in the linked article.

These flimsy rationalizations have the feel of hollow, superficial self-reassurances of someone out of touch with, for example, why their relationship really didn't work out, or why they didn't get that new job.

"He told me we'd grown apart."

"They told me a wasn't the right man for the job because I was over-qualified"

Sure. That's it. Keep telling yourself that.

When I enlisted under Clinton, recruitment numbers were just fine. There was no component of the narrative that attributed 'lower recruitment numbers' to a continually ping-ponging political reality. Presidents of both parties come and go.

Low recruitment numbers couldn't possibly have anything to do with the armed forces overhauling its ranks in knee-jerk fashion in the wake of Jan 6.

It couldn't possibly be attributable to the armed forces overhauling their recruitment advertising to target a cross section of about 20-30% of the age-eligible population would it.

It couldn't possibly be the disastrous management of the wind down in Afghanistan, could it.

Likewise, I'd be very interested to hear your spiel about how the economy is humming/cooking with gas right now, to rationalize why you're axiom of good recruitment in bad economic times (i.e. right now) doesn't seem to be holding true right now.

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for 'red stat kids' to jump up and start enlisting en masse, in this climate, where their values and political ideologies are thrown in the dirt by the senior commissioned people that are setting policy at the top now.

If you're still 'in', I would recommend speaking with 'kids from red states' , or even their older/more seasoned analogs that have been in the ranks for a while.

You may find what they have to say rather eye opening.

at least half the recruits in my boot camp company didn't know who the president was at the time. (Reagan)
So while I'm confident today's youts (sic) are better informed, I wouldn't say that patriotism has any sway except when gett ing a free pass to kill (active warzone) is involved. Maybe this Ukraine thing is just the military using a known tactic to recruit...

Remember the anthrax vaccine that was safe and mandated until suddenly it no longer was.

Yea, the vast majority of the vaccines we get jabbed with gives few negative effects and is backed up by decades of data.

Over heard the wing king where I work as a civilian say DoD has no intention of doing a booster mandate. Hmmm

On the main topic not directed at Byrd.

At the last base I wore the uniform at, I knew exactly zero first term airmen that were going to reenlist, in part the mandates, in part the idiotic woke training, in part the terrible leadership.

Read into that what you will, I spent my 2 years there trying to convince those kids to either cross train or get that damn degree and get out, because the route the military was going they were just going to drain your soul.

Before it gets stated I didnt not pitch it that way till the question came up and they said hell no, then I started to badger them about degree, certs etc.

Ebola Gain Of Function Gets NIH Funding
www.ebolaoutbreakmap.com...

Ebola research exploring how Ebola spreads in the body with implication for targeted Ebola viral treatments .
Dr. Shtanko will investigate how exactly Ebola infection transforms migration and invasive properties of macrophages to maximize Ebola spread in the host.

Dr. Shtanko is also excited to explore a possible alternative mode of Ebola spread — tunneling nanotubes, dynamic connections between cells, which allow Ebola to communicate by exchanging content over relatively long distances (up to 200 microns). While these structures have been shown to play a prominent role in promoting neurodegenerative diseases, cancer, and spread of a variety of viruses, including HIV-1 and influenza, no one is known to have investigated their role in disseminating Ebola and related viruses.
