Recalling that about 4 years ago, Warren Buffet bought an entire coal mine, and the railroad and trains that serviced it.....

Talk about inside information?

Yes, that’s very true.
My great grandfather was a prospector. Ended up founding a gold mine in Timmons Ontario.
But He wouldn’t go underground.

My grandfather was like how I am, I could live in the underground.
He worked for my great grandfather in the underground.
From an before sun up, till sun down, every day.

My father, he worked for my grand father once he took over the mine.
He tried to go underground and lasted half a shift before having a freak out and had to go to surface.

Myself, I love it down there.
No one bothers ya. It’s can be deadly quiet - which is when you can hear the ground moving around you.
As long as the mine has the proper services installed, ground support and safety protocols, the only thing you really have to worry about is making it back to surface alive at the end of the shift.

I really miss going down everyday.
For the past 8 years I’ve been exclusively on surface running the drone program.
But every once in a while, I catch a ride down with one of the guys and take a tour around the place.
It’s amazing how much the mine advances over 6 months at a time.

If working in a coal mine wasn't so dangerous for ones health, I'd go for it but its very dangerous!

Go for it! You're going to die one day whether you work in one or not. The amount of nuke weapons around spreading to joke regimes who gives a monkeys? Something will take us all one day.

My great grandfather a Jarrow marcher worked in a pit at Easington county Durham. Hacked under the north sea with pick in hand at the face. Smoked like a chimney too. Lived to 99 and four months!

All we hear about coal mining is the bad stuff but there's good ones too
