In such a futuristic world, something as lame as covid would never have gotten so much attention.

Shouldn't we have a forum for that?
Anyway, Im here to talk about a possible way forward for a sustainable planet.
Office buildings should be a thing of the past for a lot of professions, when the same work can be done in virtual reality.
Law firms, even courts can exist in virtual reality alone.
I'm sure there are countless more examples but those are the first two that popped into my head.
What about doctors appointments etc? I believe it's all possible but it does require you to become a cyborg of sorts.
When 3d printing allows for organic matter that is indistinguishable from the actual product, that's when we will see drastic changes to our environment as well as the reasons people venture from their houses.
In virtual reality there's no need for traffic jams if you can simply fly or teleport. Mistakes arent fatal.
With so much space being freed up on earth, nature can start to reclaim vast swathes of concrete jungle.
People will travel to experience nature, not overpriced, overrated tourist traps.
I believe we could be on the brink of basing the economy in virtual reality, where real life outside of virtual will be used simply to enjoy real life and time away from the simulator inside the simulator.
It would solve a lot of problems, imo.
The biggest hurdle would be the ethics and intent behind the people in charge.
Can we ever trust them?

Have a nice day.
