Well hey, you and your kin have pulled the "they were kidding" act and it hasn't been a month.

Like Kamala with her mining "joke" or AOC with "she was there".

They seem to enjoy "joking" more than the previous administration. Which is weird considering how serious a tone, a fortified and barricaded White House looks.

I always wondered what those "trials" in the old Soviet Union looked like.

Now I know. . . .

Did you ever see the Cardassian Court in DS9?

It's kinda like that.

lolz

The evil democrats will give Trump a choice, either guilty or not innocent.

They will be lenient with him if he puts on a good show!

Doesn't seem like anyone in this thread is actually watching the hearing/trial/debate...whatever it is at this point.

At any rate, Raskin's closing was moving.

This guy who is speaking now, Bruce Castor, has yet to make a point, seems to be blowing hot air up Senator's skirts, telling them how awesome they are, as Senators.

I had a bomb go off about 15 minutes from me, with 5 shot and critically wounded.

So I'm focusing on that and hoping to hear something from here about this sham hearing.

But it seems to be going as expected, with little to no interaction from the serfs.

Got the tv on in my office. I'm waiting for the kangaroos.

Someone promised kangaroos, and all I see are evil leftists.

Aussies always blow things out of proportion.

The best you'll get is a Koala sitting behind the desk of the head of senate.

Your kangaroo is speaking right now, wrapping it up...actually.

Still, hasn't made a point.

Forgive me for not watching the proceedings, but if the Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court is not presiding over the proceedings, who is presiding?

Figures you’d think talking about free speech is bad.

Oh hey! Castor tried to make a point! He's saying, and telling us his collogues will also say, that the 14th Amendment doesn't apply, because, as anyone knows, it only applies to Confederate Soldiers. But, if that were true, then all birth right citizenship would have expired over 100 years ago, but it hasn't, so the 14th Amendment argument can't be cast from the Article of Impeachment.

HAHA! And his closing statement? Don't impeach Trump, for which there is no punishment past removal from office, charge my client for felony crimes! What a great lawyer! LOL

He closes with a lie by omission, omitting "and barred from serving in office" again.

On reflection, I did get that he said Trump should be arrested and not indicted and that the people spoke and already voted him out of office. How that is a defense strategy I'm still unsure

For those who prefer to check in to a "live status updates" site/blog, instead of watching the trial, CNN does the best job, IMO.

Newsworthy Updates: www.cnn.com...

It’s a good point because if it was a court of law it would be roundly dismissed as unconstitutional.
