He walked into office with an avalanche of hate hitting him every minute of the day...I agree he has character flaws that didn't help, but I think if the hate wasn't so intense we would not have seen as much from him too. As to the character flaws, they too were dealt with as if the media was throwing gas on a small flame. Much of what Trump did was reactionary in nature...So the left would poke the bear constantly and when the bear roared they would say OMG!!

Ah yes. The 'poor Trump' approach. When all else fails I suppose. Trump started his rise in the republican party with the campaign of 'birtherism'. Hardly being punched first. Which people rightly called him out for. Trump put on his gold-plated gloves and has 'punched first' throughout, constantly, and without a lick of presidential decor I might add. All the while balking at being called out for his own words... name calling, a steady stream of lies, divisive hate-filled yammering pointed towards any number of Americans. And sadly, he's been bowed down to for so long due to money that this came as a shock to him (you mean I can't just sue everyone???). A silver-spooned life of swampy behavior has allowed him to operate this way, arrogantly. Painfully.

He thought he could keep on keeping on... acting a fool, dragging the country through his own swamp. He was wrong. He's gonna get called on it. And big surprise, he can't take it like a man. 'Dish it out but can't take it'... super tough guy stuff.

I do feel bad for conservatives though. The 'good sides' of conservatism have been thrown out the window, all for this Robin Leach style used car salesmn.

Being decent to others. Family (cheating on wives repeatedly is a-ok now). Fiscal responsibility. Honesty. All gone.

And it's gonna take a long while to walk it back with this degree of damage. I hope they can get there.

I guess my biggest complaint is that Obama had a huge love fest his first 4 years...Did wrong things way beyond anything Trump even came close to, but all good for the media and Left. Biden has been treated the same...need to protect him and Hunter at all costs no matter what.

Which Americans did Trump address with "hate-filled yammering"? I don't recall him attacking any specific group. He was very critical of /other/ countries, and made a number of blunt but true statements about situations abroad, but I don't remember Trump singling out any set of Americans in a hateful manner.

Many are comparing him to Hitler and I just don't see any evidence of that. What laws were passed under his administration that really put American Citizens in huge danger or made their life worse?
