Argument: Immune system as evidence of intelligent design?

I would love to believe we are special but our immune system is pretty much like an insect's, a cockroach comes to mind.

pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov...

Infectious agents threaten any organism. Therefore, mammals and insects have evolved a complex network of cells and humoral factors termed immune system able to control and eliminate pathogens. Immunity varies between different groups of animals but always contains an innate immune system that can act fast and often effectively against a wide range of distinct pathogens (i.e. viruses, bacteria, fungi, and eukaryotic parasites). In mammals and insects, the communication between and regulation of immune cells is carried out by cytokines which orchestrate the defense against the invaders. The major challenge to recognize and to fight pathogens is the same for any host.

The immune system is made not born, as this caption says:

I have trouble finding an answer for the hate. I don't think I've
heard an answer that's believable. All that blame Christianity for
all that is really the same old fault of humanity just like it's always
been. All the way back to the garden. You can even see what loose
cannons we are with out the guidance we were meant to have. We're
on our own now because we we're stupid enough to demand we do
it without the Fathers guidance. I'm just a nobody really but I'm
glad I can see that much.

Why would a nobody have that clarity?

You're a somebody.
Your thoughts are as useless as mine or Tesla or Jesus.

You're still a somebody.

Criticizing demographic redundant. You say it isn't I say it is perfect.
I point to it's perfection regarding it's purpose. And you make a comparison
to cockroaches. But where is your argument. All you have is a critique
that is ridiculous BTW.

Here is a more in depth explanation. I am not a microbiologist so my answer is essentially parroting the studies of peer reviewed academia...

www.aber.ac.uk...

Everything one needs to know about the immune system.

In humans:

A lymphocyte is different from all other cells in the body because it has about 100,000 identical receptors on its cellular membrane that enable it to recognize one specific antigen. The receptors are proteins containing grooves that fit into patterns forrned by the atoms of the antigen molecule --- somewhat like a key fitting into a lock --- so that the lymphocyte can bind to the antigen. There are more than 10 million different types of grooves in the lymphocytes of the human immune system.

Cells like lymphocytes produce the cytokines that regulate immunity.

Here is another article how Lymphocytes work in insect immunity, just like in any multicellular organism, vertebrate or invertebrate.

Hey now you aren't required to post according to your profession
exclusively. I'm no theologian or evangelist but I put this thread out
because it might raise awareness for someone to look deeper into
this most important question of life.

What are we doing here? If somebody wants to exclude the best
explanation I can find on the planet. Regarding the sense one makes
about existence. I'm gonna challenge with malice and expect a damn
good reason why? This isn't something anyone should just roll over
and play dead for the sake of a career job big money fame or any of
that.

Many classical philosophers believed the INFINITE nature of the Creator required no creation. INFINITE: no beginning, no ending. Our FINITE minds inwardly rebel at the notion.

“All I have seen teaches me to trust the Creator for all I have not seen.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Mainstream academia insists we are more intelligent than our ancestors.
I believe that to be a huge error. Greater knowledge and higher learning
do not equate to a higher IQ or greater intelligence. The massive
stone work found across the globe suggest a higher intelligence than our
own. And they all worshiped gods for some reason other than just making
them up out of thin air and lies.

Wisdom teeth, they were made for people who chew food, roughage not sucked it all through a tube or soft like Westeners eat, you neglect your body and you have issues.
Africans who eat roughage don’t have wisdom teeth issues.

You get the gist, intelligence seems appropriate

The only problem there is that something like 70% of Africans, African Americans and Asian Americans have a single 3rd molar. It's white Europeans who have a full set of 3rd molars. Neanderthal had no 3rd molar at all. So no, African's dn't have fewer prblems with wisdm teeth because f their diet, it's because the majority lack wisdom teeth or have just 1.

And to expound on your western diet vs old world diet, chemically there isn't much difference between sucrose and fructose. It's why they use corn syrup to sweeten everything. So the guy loading up on fruits and vegetables is going to fare about as well as the guy pounding 2 litres of soda per day.

Which ancestors? "Mainstream academia" says we have been who we are (homo sapiens) for at least 90,000 years.

It's them Ancient Alien types who think we weren't smart enough to build the pyramids.

So I have a question for all the greater intellects around these parts.
When you hear or read or are told or even taught. That any part of
our anatomy or even one of our systems like the immune system. Is the result of anything less than a highly intelligent forward thinking greater mind. How does that not insult a greater IQ than my own?

Intellect doesnt get offended, it corrects errors in calculation and fixes the system producing said errors. Ego gets huffy and puffy because insecurity, which is what you are doing. But do go on and explain to us how spirituality is the answer because you are such an expert on it.

Which ancestors? Not sure I'm following you here. I suppose the ones who
began civilizations would be the correct answer. That is the context I
was referring to.

Agreed all tho I love the program because it takes the viewer right up
close to so many ancient places. I love that.

People hate Christians because they have an answer.

It's rare that you find someone who hates Christians because of their answer.

I notice you didnt say they have a viable, convincing, or even halfway respectable answer. As if all answers are equally suitable for the question. Wait, what is the question again.

What's so huffy and puffy about creating a discussion that explores
all the possibilities just by the very presence of our own intellect?
I thought I made pretty clear I'm not an expert on anything. Never
claimed to be. Why are you so upset?

Why are you so insulted by the theory of evolution? So insulted you made yet another forum discussion about it, describing how insulted WE should feel. Projecting your insecurity on us, and trying to convince us that its our insecurity. And that we arent insecure, we are just too smart to believe in something so ridiculous. Because YOU say so.
