We Are Our Own Police! - Gov Huckabee on what a Biden-Harris 2020 win would look like

This is a great interview on Fox News given by former Governor and Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee on what a 2020 Biden/Harris presidential win would look like.

It's a double-whammy: Not only will the "defund the police" movement mean that there will NOT be any police officers available to save you if you call 911 and your life is in imminent danger, it also means IF the democrats have their way and gut the 2nd amendment protections from every American too, we won't have any way to protect ourselves as our own Police!

It's a ludicrous, dangerous, and terrible combination for Americans!

Ignoring the fact that it's logistically impossible to confiscate all guns as it is.

If there's no police, who are they going to get to take our guns?

Of the vast number of reasons Biden/Harris are bad for America.
Them taking the guns isn't a realistic threat.

Guns aren’t going anywhere. After all the chaos we’ve been witnessing, I don’t think any law abiding citizen thinks it’s a good idea to give up their guns. Once again by their actions dems have increased gun sales to unprecedented levels. They can’t keep them in stock as a result of dems allowing thugs to decimate our cities. So...good luck with that 2A dems.

Oh, I thought the general consensus was that being armed means you don't need police to protect you.

Surely by the time the police arrive the crime has already been committed right?

Because that is certainly not my position. As a matter of fact, I take the 180 degrees opposite view. We need the police, AND we need the 2nd amendment left alone for all of the reasons the founders included it in the original Bill of Rights in the first place.

To protect free people from the whims of what may someday become a tyrannical government.

The people and the police are supposed to work in tandem like gears in a machine to maintain or improve areas, it's not a solo residents-only job, never has been anywhere globally in history. Every community from Jewish Kibbutz communes to cities have their law enforcers. No culture anywhere has ever skipped that for good reason -- we DON'T police ourselves well without solid structure & authority to fall back on. We're basically exactly like overgrown kids in that sense, they tend to be wild AF without structure & authority. Any "free parenter" tends to find that out the hard way.

Dunno what part of that people miss, the cops know the majority of the laws substantially better & more thoroughly than you or I do -- most of us barely know more than the parking laws or local yard ordinance laws, FFS. And I'm supposed to sit here and trust YOU know legalese well enough to know when to step in and do something more heavy-handed, charge wise? Are you NUTS?

Because unless I'm mistaken, even those with strict gun laws all have police forces too.

I'll wait while you find one that meets the criteria of little to no police force, community organizers instead of police, and strict gun laws...
